Guest guest
Hello Daniel, I just thought I would let you know that your pleas for help regarding your skin case didn't necessarily fall on deaf ears. Some people are just more inclined/have the time to write about whatever interests them than others. I've been in the same situation as you before, but it's nothing to take personally. More likely is that no one had anything to add.like myself for example. I've never treated any skin conditions, my patients all come in for various musculoskeletal pains, so I wouldn't really have anything to contribute to help you out, in terms of TCM. However, my one suggestion would be to consider some strict dietary changes for this patient. We are what we eat, and we all have varying sensitivities to different chemicals, components, etc. You may want to have this patient try a metabolic typing diet, or a food allergy elimination diet. The patient could " simply " try giving up all grains and dairy (pasta, rice, wheat, bread, flour, beer, etc.) for 4 weeks or so and see what happens. Have him/her eat just meat, vegetables, fruit, potatoes, nuts (almonds and walnuts are best), greens, water, green tea, and ginger tea. Ginger is a great anti-inflammatory (it's a cox2 inhibitor). Use only extra virgin olive oil (no corn, safflower, canola, etc.). It may sound a bit draconian, but the patient will have to make the decision as to which is less preferable.the current condition or some healthy dietary changes. Things can slowly be added back one at a time to see if the body reacts or not (if they just HAVE to have spaghetti or they'll die! Haha) When all other methods fail or provide less than desirable/lasting results, there is likely to be a dietary problem. Cheers, K. Hamill, L.Ac. Guest guest
just thought of something that may help. try pure castor oil & place castor oil wet sheets on the affected area for a few hours every day at least in 30 min time slots. longer will be better. anand --- kchamill <kchamill wrote: > Hello Daniel, > > I just thought I would let you know that your pleas > for help regarding > your skin case didn't necessarily fall on deaf ears. > Some people are > just more inclined/have the time to write about > whatever interests them > than others.
