Guest guest
Hi Karen > I humbly suggest there are some flaws in the methodology here. Bias (prejudging the outcome) was not involved in my case; I was not expecting that outcome! The results astonished me. Karen, can you suggest a better way? I accept that the instrument was crude [a household weighing scales] and that replication could be improved. All my measurements were duplicated [at least], and the later measurements involved downward pressure as well as upward lift. Also, ALL measurements were made separately on L & R arms, and the mean of the two arms was used is assessing the overall effect of metal contact on arm strength. In clinical investigation, one could do these tests with people who do not know of the possible outcome. Has anyone else on the List [except Holger] done the tests to see if they can confirm/not confirm my findings?
