Everyone has been talking about the western approach of just jump in and fix it being too short sighted... So, aside from convincing people that have money it is in their best interest to do what is healthy. And that they things they are doing are devaluing their own economy. We also have to decide what truly healthy is.... If blood is too acidic you add some base to neurtalize it. Would it be the same with the world? I imagine we have enough room on the planet that everyone could spread out, building farms underwater or on land, but then we're destroying even more... not to mention the whole property ownership thing. What I find sadly amusing is that so many Capitalists are afraid of free trade and competition that they try to regulate everything. In some ways they are actually correct in this regulation because people act stupid and sell things they know to be harmful to themselves and their enviroment... (Unfortunately that is also where the Minos factor comes in... ie drug war in this case CIA and Mafia being used to regulate criminal culture. Reflects Mino's how? When a king or leader puts himself or his tribe above the hive you create a maze and a monster). Yet for capitalism (and this is where at it's highest state it and communism are like twins) to be healthy more people making things is better. If many people are producing a great variety of things then money has more value to the populace. . And in some cases the economy should be devalued... (Keeping food afordable can be done with that wonderful socialist ideal of price capping. minimum wage is a socialist ideal, but is useless without rent, and price caps on basic necessities) The world bank keeps loaning people money for crap they don't need so they get into such debt that the only way to pay it off is massive cutting of the rainforest. (ie problem in South America). That dam in Egypt was kinda useless too when you look at it, for what it did to the country, but... this is how many countries are generating power. China is in fact the leader in it's use of hydroelectric power, but it is good? Of course credit is another problem in itself, but part of perpetuating our level of knowledge is constant production, and where as we could lower prices then we have too many people consuming (reason vehicles in south America can be purchased for $3000 there and $15,000 in the states). Only how do you keep people from buying for status? How do you keep people from buying cause they have an emotional lack and spending helps them... feel better. but here's another question... with all the CO2 in the air plant life grows faster right... If we were to do a massive reforestation project, what would the effect be on the enviroment (since the world is alreay trying to compesate for the damage we're doing). Since the greenhouse effect has caused a warming, would it in turn cause a cooling? We could build machines to create ozone, but what is the effect? What reason did the eviroment build to this hole? TO release something it felt it didn't need? M C Markman The New with improved product search

Guest guest
I guess the begining of autumn is when the sap runs a few more times before the sentimental holing up for winter. Almost too much to comment on. The manipulating of people and the world for desperate advantage is probably the hardest impulse to curb. In western media we use psychology to create or pander to needs and not quite fill them, or create more need while pretendind to fulfill others (give guns while knowing they will need bullets and parts, and soon traditional hunting is forgotten; same for agriculture, laundry machines etc.). Communism had 'blaht' ( I give you a gallon of paint, you give me a gallon of gas, I sneak your daughter into an apartment in Moscow, You get mine into Harvard). Natural self-interest. Ok, but knowledge is being withheld. I believe true market forces would not create the disparity we have now, but there really is just manipulation and insider speculation. For example a fuel cell co. in canada goes into production and can't renew their lease next year, and is bought and closed. People (majority)would do the best but the big dogs(minority) want to hide the options. Look at the electrical power failures, all identical scenarios in that the cause is not too little generation, but, 'we need more money' TCM and other gentle therapies can help most people but insurance wants to wait until the illness is far advanced. Some providers up on the lists do ok with the way things are and pretend that there's lots of room at the top. We are on merchant time. Any kid is shocked to learn how hard some people have it, but we break them of that golden rule (treat others as you yourself would like it) asap. Gotta run, will drop this thread and hopefully contribute something mor worthwhile soon. peace eric morlin <princeofautumn wrote: 1.
