Guest guest
Well folks, I will soon be a SAHM (stay at home mom). The boss asked me again Friday afternoon at 4:55 pm (Couldn't ask me over lunch when he was in or any other time of day. Has to do this right before I am supposed to go out the door.) if I had any luck finding daycare. I came straight out and told him that to pay for it I was going to need $2 an hour more. He said that wouldn't work. So... I am being a nice person and helping them find a replacement and training that person. I am not sure if this could be called a termination or a resignation or mutual agreement. They will let me keep taking Aidan. NO idea when my last day will be. They are going to be in for a rude shock when they go to hire someone who is proficient in QuickbooksPro 2000. I really doubt they will get anyone for less then $8.00 to start. Especially since the benefits bite a big one. We have a bit of savings built up and the income from my dh's 2nd job is just about what I was making. If you take gas and wear & tear of my car into it we are coming out ahead. Being home full time will let me really work on my soap business. I need to talk to my dh's one boss to see if I can order oils through them and stop paying shipping. And now I might be able to look at adding to my line (looking at bath salts and other odds & ends now). In the meantime there are some other work from home things I am looking at. Possibly babysitting an infant on an as needed basis or something like that. We can always look at picking up a bassinet on eBay or somewhere. From having looked for sitters, etc. I know how difficult it is to find someone to trust with an infant. Bill has mentioned to his 2nd boss that I have QuickBooks on my home computer and am all set-up to do bookkeeping (including payroll) if the boss' sis-in-law doesn't work out doing it (she currently is but is also working full time). Guest guest
Good luck in your trasition to SAHM, Cindy! We'll be here to help ya, specially in this thing of buying oils and stuff cheaper. Hope it all works out well for ya. And I'm sure people would trust you for a babysitter, as you're a mom yourself. If it was me, I'd trust much more a recent mom than any other lady to take care of an infant )) Good luck! Lena
