OT: Trust In America and Her Leaders ** Was: Planes & Bellies

Hey y'all,

 

In the 70s, a half dozen planes a month were being hijacked to Cuba.

The president declared war on hijacking and directed the US Army

Military Police Corps to assist. Without presidential direction, we

can't enforce law and order off a federal reservation due to bastardized

interpretation of the ancient Posse Commatatus Act - which really was

enacted to keep the Federal Troops from directing Suth'ran polling

places after the War of Seccesion .. anyway, I had some of my MPs

assigned temporary duty (as did other commanders) as armed Sky Marshals

- I lost control of them at that point - operational control went to an

FBI/Federal Aviation Commission joint effort. Many American folks were

upset .. especially those with a left-leaning spirit. They came up with

all kinds'a wild ass, hair-brained reasons why it wouldn't work. They

were harbingers of doom - as we see a lot of today on many of the

lists.

 

We never harmed an innocent person .. we weren't cowboys. We weren't

even noticed on the plane.

 

We STOPPED the hijackings to Cuba in the 70s - it worked. Can't argue

with something that works - huh?

 

Regardless of what American security folks come up with, there will be

arm-chair experts questioning each move - telling folks reasons why this

and that won't work .. they have ZERO experience in law enforcement but

they are still experts. ;-( Today, more than anytime in the past, we

must trust in America's system of law enforcement. It is the mission of

terrorists to terrorize .. and to cause a population to lose faith and

question the actions of their leaders and institutions. We should not

let those A$$holes think they have accomplished that part of their

mission.

 

If we search hard and long for a negative bit to harp on .. and there

are some who live to do this as they are in the rut and on the downside

of life .. even if they don't recognize it themselves. If we do this,

we can't even look closley at our neigbors, our priests and preachers or

even the Pope .. if we do - we'll find something negative - if we want

to.
