reminds me of a true story.. animal stories..

Deep within a forest a little turtle began to climb a tree. After

hours of effort he reached the top, jumped into the air waving his

front legs and crashed to the ground.

 

After recovering, he slowly climbed the tree again, jumped, and

fell to the ground. The turtle tried again and again while a couple

of birds sitting on a branch watched his sad efforts.

 

Finally, the female bird turned to her mate. " Dear, " she chirped,

" I think it's time to tell him he's adopted. "

 

so when I first had my first tortoise he was sort of small and I had him

in a 150 Gal Aquarium which is very large no water he is not a water

turtle so I had a nice rock garden with rocks of many sizes.. one day I

was in the kitchen and I heard this shurunch! then a moment later

sssshhiirrrriiinnnccch! and a moment later Scccchhhhhrrruuujnnncchh! I

went over to see the little turtle climb to the top of a long roch and

slide down on his shell to the sand and climb around and do it again he

saw me watching him and he turned and gave me this big turtle grin and

climbed looked at me did it again and smiled... so several times later

... he had obviously discovered a fun turtle thing to do...
