Question for the Netscape users ....

Is there a way in the Netscape mail program to:

A. Let me see what e-mail message I have sent replies to? In Outlook

when you reply to a message it puts a little reply arrow on the message

icon so you know you replied to it (or didn't)

B. Let me move mulitple message into a folder. I can only move ONE

MESSAGE AT A TIME into my various e-mail folders and it is DRIVING ME

NUTS as I have hundreds of messages to move from this weekend alone!

Thanks folks! I have concluded that I absolutely hate every single

version and program of Netscape's and I am just about willing to go back

and take the chance with Outlook and its virus vulnerabilities because

Netscape is so dang annoying and STINKY :( For the record I hate the MS

programs too!)

Up on the top where your email is listed, is a couple arrows. Click on

those and catagories will come up like, date, priority, status...the

status bar is the one that lists if you have read or replied to an

email.

Sure, Chris - it's basically drag & drop ...

First, make sure that the folder you want to move them to is visible - ie,

expand top folders if needed.

Select the message you want - shift-click if they're consecutive or cntl-click

if they're scattered through the list.

Now click & HOLD over any of the highlighted area, drag to their new home &

drop.

hehe!! I much prefer Netscape - but that's probably a case of what I'm used

to.... and the lack of viral attack is a HUGE bonus !! I've had a discussion

with another little list about the whole NS vs MS deal - and I couldn't get

anyone to give me anything about the MS mail programs that would convince me to

change over. Weighing up the inconveniences of each, I still find that the NS

problems as nuisance value only, whereas the MS problems are actually problems

for me. *shrugs*

Anyway - feel free to give a yell if you need any help with it at any time. One

thing to be sure to do if you get a lot of emails (hehe!! as if ;-) ) is to

regularly hit the 'empty trash on local mail' and 'compact folder' options in

the file menu. Deleted emails aren't phyically removed from any files until you

do this - they are added to whatever folder you move them to, including trash, &

the index entry only is changed until you do the housekeeping. Kinda like

sweeping the dirt under the rug !!

Hope this helps !!

Blessings,

Jane :-))

Chris, try Eudora. It's *much* better than any of those you

mentioned. The filters are great, and it doesn't have the virus

vulnerabilities of MS. The free version works just fine.

Chris, Sandy-

I love Eudora and have been using it for years.

I use the paid version but either way it is great.
