Guest guest
Can anyone tell me what Sweet Birch Essential Oil smells like. Is it similar to wintergreen?? What would it be good for? Also is there a good herb or combination of herbs that would be good for PMS and severe menstrual cramping? Hope this makes it, for some reason I'm having difficulties sending emails and I am receiving duplicate copies of emails. Ran McAfee virus scan and I am virus free so maybe it's just my STUPID internet company's server - AGAIN........... To me at least, and it's supposed to be just a tiny bit better to use than the Wintergreen. I say that because I have read a lot of precautionary notes on this EO. But it's said to be helpful for acne prone skin. I use a timy bit in my acne soap to give it more of a " unisex " scent. Men, especially boys, are real touchy about using something that they think is a " girl " scent. Before you use this or any other EO, it's a good idea to do yur homework, at least as best you can. Butch Owen sells the two books that he considers the authorities on EO's, and I know he's done his homework! HTH's, deonia

Guest guest
Birch and Wintergreen oils are both very high in methyl salicylate (Birch is actually about 98% methyl salicylate). In fact, it is almost impossible to find real and/or unadulterated Birch or Wintergreen oils as the methyl salicylate is a very inexpensive chemical, while on the other hand, those Essential Oils are not cheap to produce. Also, methyl salicylate is pretty toxic and readily absorbed through the skin. Not an oil I use or recommend. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com PS .. Good luck with the server ... I have to get the tech guy here cause mine STILL isn't working right (of course my friend here who has the same ISP company, hers is working GREAT! Sheesh!) doggone wrote: > Can anyone tell me what Sweet Birch Essential Oil smells like. Is it > similar to > wintergreen??
