In June 1999, I was admitted to the emergency room for pain in the right lower quadrant beneath the surgical site. It was some sort of a mass and because of my cancer history, they did all kinds of tests and did not reach a diagnosis, rather referred me back to my oncologist for follow up. I had to go to my OB/Gyn for referral to the oncologist, and at that time he did an ultrasound which confirmed the presence of an 8 cm. mass. That is huge. Well, I saw the oncologist in August and he ordered a guided needle aspiration where they stick a needle in the mass and aspirate fluid to check out if there are any cancerous cells. Well, I cancelled the appointment for the biopsy several times and elected to go full force into juicing, laetrile and all kinds of antioxidants, and ESSIAC TEA (religiously) morning and at bedtime. When I finally had the cat scan (without needle aspiration, due to problems with the insurance carrier), there was NO....repeat....NO trace of a mass ever having been there! The secretary at my oncologist's office at Cedar Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles called me at home after normal business hours to ask why I waited so long to have the cat scan done when they had seen me back in July. I told them because of work, being sick, and other unforeseen events that occurred. She told me what the conclusions were, and that the mass was no longer there. She told me that my doctor wanted to see me this Friday (which was within 2 days). I told her I would have to make a later appointment than that. This is a doctor who has a long waiting line just to see him! He is very prominent and it takes about a month to a month and a half just to see him. Well, probably because he will want to know what I did during the in between time from when he initially saw me in consultation to the time of the cat scan. THANK GOD FOR ESSIAC!
