Guest guest
OH MY GOD!... wait until you see this BBC video report on " Downing Street memo! Why can't our own press do its job like it is done in England? YOU BETTER SIT DOWN FOR THIS ONE! It is an hour long but you only need the first 10-15 minuters to puke! The BBC has produced a documentary that US television news producers might want to learn from. Although aired weeks before the Sunday Times broke the story of the Downing Street Minutes, this program discussed those minutes without naming them. BBC documentary " Iraq, Tony and the truth? " broadcast on BBC on March 20, 2005. http://www.overcast.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/warofterror/iraqtonytruth.htm Jack Topel FORUM_FOR_DISCLOSURES/ http://www.blueaction.org A politician is a man who will double cross that bridge when he comes to it http://babyseals.care2.com/
Guest guest
But this is our central problem! Media " are " doing their job. The problem is that you're entranced by your trust in media, that leads you to see them as politically neutral. Media, not the right, not the Republican party, not Bush and his goon squad, are the biggest obstacle we have. Media are doing their job perfectly. Their job is not determined by the tens of millions of citizens that watch and read and listen to them. The job of media is to serve the rich and powerful, which at this time, is the Bush administration. Media are doing the same job as our current administration in Washington, namely taking money from the middle class, and giving it to the rich. The job of media, is to stifle debate, to crush any strong effort to promote democracy, to weaken the democractic party, to see to it that Bush and co. are protected and promoted any way that media can figure out how to do it. Instead of focusing attention on this media scandal, we wait like fools, for fairplay from media. As long as we remain naive aboout media, or refuse to acknowledge what a problem media are for us, we'll continue to lose our freedoms, and our elections.
