The U.S. Agribusiness ['Agriculture'] Department said tests confirmed a case of

mad cow disease in a U.S. animal, the nation's second confirmed case.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Agriculture Department said tests

confirmed a case of mad cow disease in a U.S. animal, the nation's

second confirmed case.

 

USDA said it was investigating where the animal with the brain-wasting

disease originally came from. It also said meat from the infected cow

was not sold to consumers or as animal feed.
