If you feel a hard spot that hurts when you press on it, then it is probably a plantar wart. They grow upside down and have a sharp pointed end inside the foot. It is caused by a virus that is picked up from surfaces or shoes that have been contaminated by someone that has the virus. These hurt like stepping on glass when you walk. A doctor can remove it if that is the problem. Or if you cannot afford a doctor, you put a piece of duct tape over it and replace once a day. Eventually it will show up on the tape. When that happens, cover the hole with a bandaid that you put some iodine on the padded part. It will heal up and close over in a couple weeks or less. Get the real duct tape, the " duck " tape from walmart will not stay on. cecile

Guest guest
if the pain is at the rear of your heal below ankle-it could be due to pressure on your where you rest your heal-i use to have the same thing years ago- when i woke up ( it was my hard bed) it doesn't take much to give this discomfort-try resting feet on softer cushion or keeping feet on ground cecile <RSchl44964 wrote: --- In , " sarisalsa " <sarisalsa wrote: > > I GET THIS AWFULL HEEL PAIN WHEN STANDING UP FROM A SITTING POSITION. > SEEMS TO HURT WHEN I WALK. Guest guest
It could also be a heel spur (a boney growth inside your foot). They are very painful. Guest guest
You should also check with the foot doc. it sounds more like you have a bone spure on your heal...if you have had to work in heals of any sort over time it happens... celticfey.. , " sarisalsa " <sarisalsa wrote: > > I GET THIS AWFULL HEEL PAIN WHEN STANDING UP FROM A SITTING POSITION. > SEEMS TO HURT WHEN I WALK. Guest guest
Hi, Ben... Perhaps you have plantar fasciitis which is an inflammation of the fascia that runs along the bottom of your foot. If you don't have a good supportive shoe, one with a good arch, and you stand on a concrete floor all day, this seems likely to me. This condition tends to hurt the most first thing in the morning. If you think you may have this, there are lots of splints which might help you, ones you can wear all the time or ones you can wear just at night. Also, applying ice packs can help. I've had this an it took awhile for it to leave me. I used a night splint, ice packs and therapeutic essential oils. I hope you find the answers you need. Good luck!
