Guest guest
Did you guys just read the research through Sweden from the Affiliated Press that shows that one grown moose belches enough methane gas that equals twice the amount of CO2 let off by a plane flight across the atlantic from Europe to South America!! Now they are trying to find reasons not to kill off the entire population of moose!! This environmental lobby is going too far in the wrong direction-they are focusing too much energy on dead end issues-as you already know how I feel about fluorescent lighting... I wish the focus would change to clean water, the effects of plastics and the damaging effects of nuclear wastes-etc. I just read how these nuclear reactors malfunction all the time and let out so much radiation into the atmosphere-and they do not alert the public (look at what is happening in Tenessee right now or what happened in Japan). It is disheartening and although I consider myself " Green " I do not feel that the Green party adequately represents the most important issues-and that most of it is about starting little fires to cover the bigger ones. This is also my issue with the NVIC-which I believe has sold out in many ways.... Last year I became alarmed at listening to a liberal and conservative debate on NPR and the liberal representative said the Democratic agenda is to take all the war money and place it towards vaccines and vaccine research and to go after the " non-vaccinaters " which the Republican's have let go for " too long " ...YIKES!! So, I am just stumped with all of this- What's a girl to do? I continue to write letters to my representatives- I still think that regardless what politcal affliation there is, that is still our best way to let our voices be heard. To the Balance.. The NPR article could be archived- it was on a Friday debate show and I was in the car across town when I heard
