Guest guest
On Being Grounded by Rose From a personal point of view I have come to my understanding of what it is to being grounded. And to me being grounded means many things. As it is a process that makes it self felt, one has to understand why they have to have it in their life, and one has to know how to accomplish this in a way that meets and defines who they are. Here are some of my expressions of what it is to be grounded followed by what I do to stay grounded. To be in a state of deep awareness. To have my feet on the ground and feel firm and rooted so that I can stretch and reach for the sky and not lose my balance and topple over. To stand firm, and be able to flower in the light of the divine. To be a spiritual body having and earthly existence and being one with all of that existence. And, to have the flow of energy able to come in and flow through me, from the father spirit into the mother spirit and be their creation at this time. I wish that I could teach wonderful techniques to others, so that they too could enjoy the benefits of being grounded. To me this process is as simple as breathing, but only now because I am aware of what I am doing. I am in a constant awareness of when I get a little to airborne and am able to bring myself back. So I am going to try and help you to understand in my limited teaching ability, in how you could too enjoy the feeling of being at one with the earth. There are many tools to be found in books and on the internet that will give you methods of doing this. And many will tell you to get out and walk in nature. They will ask you to visualize your feet growing roots and the roots are reaching down, down into the earth. All of the methods can and do work, but what if you are like me and don't visualize or can't visualize, nor can you find the time or the place to be out in nature unless it is your own back yard which is not the kind of place you want to be for a deep spiritual experience. I just said deep spiritual experience, and realized that that is just what this is. It is the feeling that you can be connected at all times and it won't and can't adversely affect you because like a lightening rod on a house you are expelling the force straight down into the ground and leaving yourself safe and sound. So how do I accomplish this, using nothing but your own intent. By knowing that intent is thought and thought is creation. What you think is what you create. For many years I tried all of the methods I found in books and from teachers and friends. I used them and found them cumbersome; having to repeat them was just a bother to me. I like things easy, very easy. So when one day as I was looking at the book on chakras, it dawned on me that the root chakra was the way. Or it was my way. That insight led me to look at the colour red in my life and how it affects me. So using that colour I experimented by wearing it in different ways and allowing myself to feel what it would bring into me. The feeling was one with the earth, the feeling of love and growth. Being an integral part of creation in its many varied ways. As in the change of seasons, from the first buds of spring to the fruits in the autumn, and onto the winter hibernation. The regeneration and the life giving force that is so much a part of mother earth, is also in the properties of red. Red has many different properties as most of you are aware. It can bring in a lot of anger, warmth, passions or/and love. But it is also the colour of blood, which is the fluid that takes the life given oxygen around our bodies and carries the carbon dioxide back to be expelled. In fact without it we would die. Blood is always in continues regeneration. It is also the only part of us that visits every part of our human body, supplying us with warmth and life. That idea and the feeling of its warmth and love brought me to the knowledge that if I was to wear red I was then symbolizing the properties of blood. This would give me the means of staying grounded without any meditations and visualization. Without having to take walks just for that purpose, I could put on my red shoes or socks, and be able to wear red with the intent of its use as my grounding tool. It would fit right into my wardrobe. No one would be the wiser and I could be as grounded as I wanted to be and be able to bring myself back in alignment any time I wanted. Now will it work for you? That is for you to find out. Intent and enjoyment of being a spiritual being in a psychical body is essential for this to work, and all the rituals and all the mediations are not going to work unless those two things are there within you. That is my story, can you be your story?. If red is just not going to work, then look at the other colours that resonate for you, and bring you down to earth. Browns, bronzes, greens etc. Wear them; explore how they feel to you. Enjoy their properties, explore their properties and make a game of it. It is a game of living and being and of being able to reach high and stay in balance and in harmony. Big thanks to Rose for letting me post this article....
