filter which uses it. The swimming pool diatomaceous earth has the

sharp corners taken off and WILL NOT WORK FOR ANTS.

Be sure and get the garden variety diatomaceous earth which cannot

be used in a swimming pool filter.

I believe it was in an article a couple months back by

Dr. Mercola. I use it in the house on small trails and

around doorways.

I have used diatomaceous (sp?) earth for years in my

gardens. It's the stuff that the National Park Service

uses in their camp grounds to control ants. It's animal

and children friendly.

We had a huge 4x4' red ant hill in our garden and the

kids were getting bit too frequently, they were

getting in the house, food and the beds etc. My

youngest's dad works for the park service and he

brought some of this home. It works wonders! We had

even tried pouring ammonia on the hill to help...it

did for a very short while. The D.E. was the best so

far for large problems.
