Hello - What alternative ways can one use to help reduce elevated

liver function, cause from 10 years of drinking too much?

I am taking Antabuse, drinking lots of water, eating fruit, and

veggies. But what else can I do to promote reducing elevated liver

function? Are there any tricks, or herbs I can use?

Thanks!

Get a juice extractor and start vegetable juicing. The sugars in

carrots and beets will help clean out the alcoholic sugars and reset

the liver functions. Drink 1-3/8 oz. glasses/day.

If you want a juice formula for this, send me an e-mail request.

I recommend Milk Thistle liquid tincture at least twice per day.

There's several brands like 'Nature's Answer', 'Gala'. etc. that can

be bought at stores like vitamin cottage.

Lecithin may also help to clear the liver from toxic build-up.

There are tons of good herbs, both local and exotic.

Where do you live? Do you have access to clean open

country? Can you afford to invest a bit in your

health or would you like to go and pick your own?

Here are some local goodies:

Dandelion root, ideally dug in spring

(the fall root is better for the spleen/pancreas)

Milk Thistle seed

Burdock roots or seeds

Sweden Bitters, Maria Treben recipe

From the Amazon:

Boldo

Chanca Piedra

Una de Gato

Chuchuasi

The Amazon Herb Company was actually

started when its founder was cured of

long lingering liver problems through

the herbs. Feel free to ask me for a

sample of Rainforest Tea, to see if it

agrees with you. It has the last three

herbs in it and more.

The list of herbs that will help to regenerate the liver

is almost as long as the number of functions that that

vital organ performs.

Jean already mentioned milk thistle. Which reminds

me, I have tincture still brewing. Has anyone else

here ever tried to harvest the stuff? Prickly!

There is Maria Treben's Sweden Bitters.

There is plain old Dandelion roots, harvested in

early spring, and burdock roots too.

Susun Weed has great advice on those two.

From the potent Rainforest pharmacy

come formulas based on Amazon herbs.

It may interest you that Amazon Herb company

got its start after its founder and CEO had his

liver regenerated by local curanderos.

Plants are live entities. We all have an individual

vibration and so do plants. Some people simply get

along better with some plants than others.

Ask me for a sample, so you can see if the vibration

of the Amazon plants agrees with you.
