I've seen AMAZING results... going from dreadful bland nasty massive bruising to what looks like a 10 day old bruise (barely light green in a circle around where the bruise was) overnite. I''ve experienced this personally... and couldn't believe my eyes. the heli also helped with the pain...not an instant 'magic wand' pain reliever...but as the bruising diminished, so did the pain. I use about a 10% dilution of heli, in whatever carrier oil I feel like... probably St. Johns wort infused should be what I reach for. Guest guest
I myself fell recently and scraped my leg. I knew it was going to bruise badly. I cleaned it with witch hazel. Then I made a poultice with St John's wort, comfrey, and parsley. Wrap the part thats injuried with cheese cloth and the herbal mixture. Wrap it in plastice wrap. Secure it with tape(medical). Let it do its work. I left mine on for about 2 1/2 hrs. I did not bruise badly. In fact when I did see bruises it was days later and they were fading. Hope this helps anyone. Although my leg was still sore and tender, it helped it heal faster. Bright Blessings, Tonya

Guest guest
Lately, my dads left arm has been bruising alot. Most of the time he doesn't even know when he does it, and he has been getting some bleeding spots the same as the bruises. What could be causing this? I'm not sure what kind of meds he's on, but he is very thin. Could that have anything to do with it? Please help.
Guest guest
A simple CBC with Diff blood test can tell you what's generally going on. Bruising and bleeding like you have described can be contributed to a low platelet count. The blood test can confirm this or any of several things that could be. Low Platelet Count issues such as ITP (Idiopathic Thrombocitopenea Purpura)are treatable, but unchecked deadly as low platelets keeps the blood from clotting. Symptoms can be unexplained brusing, small red pin dots on the skin ( purpura ), unexplained bleeding such as nose bleeds that take a long time to stop 3 minutes or more, pain in the area of the spleen. He needs to see a Dr. for evaluation. Guest guest
My father had the same thing happening to him. He developed congestive heart disease rather quickly and it progressed quickly. A valve had been damaged in his heart when he had rheumatic fever as a child but it really did not affect him until almost eighty and he had a vigorous lifestyle right up until them. I am not sure what meds he was on but most likely was on something like coumadin as blood will pool in the chambers of the heart with congestive heart disease so an anticoagulant will be given. He refused valve replacement surgery as that was in the mid 1980's and heart surgery is not what it is today. There are also clotting disorders like Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpea which manifests itself as easy bruising on the skin and internally. People with this have a decreased platelet count with varying degrees. You need to find out what meds he is on and their side effects. If he doesn't already have a diagnosis that would be causing these then he needs to see a medical practitioner to try and determine the cause. Guest guest
Many times blood thinners will cause easy bruising. Vitamin C with Citrus Bioflavanoids will help a lot. The Rutin strengthens capillaries. Or rosehips will help too. Annette
