addi ,

i have migraines from an injury , i would recommend the following .

google for something called white flower oil . its a chinese medicine/ oil it comes in 3 sizes . just nuy the biggest bottle -- its still not very large . anyhow , take this oil and have someone massage it into the back of your head . start at the bottom of your neck and work it in up to the " edge " of your head that extents out the furtherst . man how o i explain this ??? in other words , you rub it also into the base of the head - into your hair .

also , some muscles who are notoriously culprits for headaches originate on your collar bone and support your neck . rub some oil from your collar bone on upward , along the side of your neck and to the back of your head . if you can find a map that shows neckmuscles -- i am talking scalenes here . try stretching some of the muscles as you rub it it .

be careful geting this oil in your eyes , mouth [ or between your legs ] . well those where the instructions the nurse gave me , who first told me about this . you pay dearly if you happen to get it anywhere . mu kids will aply it for me , if i have disposable gloves on hand . it does burn , if yo have sensetive skin .

chiropractor is good , to get your neck straightened out , but i would recommend a good massage which would stretch all those neck muscles and loosen them up . i had my neck adjusted a few times , when i could not stand the pain anylonger . but now i do self massage , white flower oil and i can keep myself pretty much pain free . the electronic "massage" / aka muscle stimulant never did me much good . a good real hands-on massage is sooo much better .

hope this helps !

gab in fl

ps i have a local chinese grocery store , that carries white flower oil . you might want to call around and see if you can get it in your part of the US

Addie,

I've been getting migraines for about a year now and just recently found the recipe in the files called "Panther Piss". It's black strp molases and apple cider vinegar. I started taking it a couple of weeks ago and this month my period started with the three day migraine prior. I was so shocked (that my period was here and I had no warning; and just thrilled because I was cooking for Christmas and didn't need the down time. I usually get very nauseous and have to lay very still.

Just mix equal parts of Organic apple cider vinegar (I used Braggs) with Organic Black strap molases. I t'm taking about 1 Tblsp in the am and 1 Tblsp in the late afternoon

Have you tried magnesium for your migraines? There is a lot of

research out there so if you do a google search for " migraine

magnesium " you will find it. It has been found that many people are

deficient because of the mineral deficient soil food is grown in. I

usually take much more than the RDA so don't be afraid to take more.

Take it to bowel tolerance throughout the day.

hello,, I have been plagued by migraines, meself. I have used feverfew in homeopathic form with good results. also, homeopathic belledonna and flower essence of angels trumpet did help. Ginko biloba helps, because it dilates the blood vessels in the brain, and that is part of the whole migraine thing...blood does not flow properly in the brain. A good accupunturist can help you eliminate the problem for up to two months with a single treatment..I also had success with this. I do not like using the migraine drugs. even the newer ones are difficult sometimes, because if, like me, you are going

through menopaus, you can wake up with migraine, and than the imitrex type meds do not work at all. I try to use flower essesnces and homepathic remedies, because it is hard to keep anything down in your stomache once the migraine sets in any other thoughts are appreciated. love colette. "J. Hi Addie!

I've been down this trail for 20+ years.

My very frequent ones came on in 1983. I spent 21 days in the St Josephs Pain Clinic 1988 to get off taking narcotics for relief. In 1993 when Imitrex was OK'd in America I thought it was the miracle drug.

I have never found a 'cure' for migraines, which is now considered a disease.

I've tried all the pharmaceuticals and most of the natureceuticals with no joy.

I've gone from a continuous headache for up to three months to now where I may have only one every month.

I took magnesium,1000mg twice daily, for three years and it never seemed to help me. Not even to reduce the frequency.

My rescue is the Imitrex Statdose injection.

One Doc even told me I would grow out of it. Booo!

The best thing you can do is join one or all the migraine support groups like MAGNUM www.migraine.org.

You can get a lot of treatment ideas there.

Someone I know takes mega amounts of herbs which have anti-

inflmatory properties and she says it works wonders. But she says it

is in mega amounts, like three tablesoons with water of at least

four or five herbs.

I have found awesome results with the spice Tumeric... excellent anti-

inflammatory. Used for arthritis, fibroids, headaches etc.

We take one teaspoon in our panther piss, twice daily. Works wonders!

Adding to Richard's email, may I add that I have taken Feverfew for

migraines with great success. I have the migraines where I lose vision and can

vomit,

but if I take the feverfew as soon as I start to get some blurriness, I

never lose vision anymore , or if I do it is for seconds not for a long time,

and

also, the headache is tolerable.

When I had migraines I use to take Feverfew which is a common treatment in

Europe. You can also grow it easily. It is a member of the chrysanthemum

family and has bunches of profuse little white flowers. The entire plant has a

very distinctive smell. It has many uses but caution should be used as it is

also an antiplatelet so anyone on " blood thinners " or supplements that have

antiplatelet properties. I have included a link from Wikipedia that gives

some information on Feverfew.
