Guest guest
Hello Zeb, Thank you so much for your prompt reply, sorry I hadn't got to your message until today. You are coming from the Chinese TCM angle, right ? I am not very hot with my biology but intuitively what you said make good sense to me. I found a book by someone called Michael Tierra in the bookshop over the weekend on TCM, seems like a really good book and absolutely fascinating stuff. Nevertheless, what do you think cause weakness in her kidneys as I wouldn't have the first idea. It also reminds me that people can and do died of 'kidney failure' so it sounds a little bit alarming. Her attention span is a maximum of 3 minutes, and she isn't keen on computer either except with what she has to use at work, but I will mention to her Doc' lecture tape and let her decide if she wants to do anything about it. Still, she has been trying quite hard to have a better diet and lose some of her weighs, so far not very successful though. She has tried to cut out meat and replace it with cheese and beans for protein but then she found the proteins in her urine got even worse, guess her body just can't handle them. She is adamant that every time she eats beans she has terrible bad aches around and below the shoulder blades area in the back and every time she eats fat (cheese) her bp goes up. Also in the past 2/3 months, she started having trouble with constipation or loose stools which she didnt before, I reckon it is because she tried to cut out carbohydrates which presumably form the bulk of bowel movements. I did ask her to do a food dairy for a week or so and see what she comes up with. Thanks again, Zeb for your response. Your help is much appreciated. Cal I'm not entirely sure but I think it is a weakness in the kidneys affecting the other areas of the pelvic region by leakage. This could cause all sorts of problems. If her kidneys are compromised then the area around it will weaken. If there is more compromised then the kidneys could be the ones being infected. Whatever the cause these things can be handled without invasive procedures. One way is handling the kidney and then her overall body. Is she interested in doing this? The difference is spending hundreds instead of multiple thousands of dollars. If she is interested she needs to get Doc's lecture. You have to get her to ask for it or else I don't think she'll really use it. This is supposition simply because you'd have to be very specific with what else is going on. The above problems would cause other symptoms: Tiredness mid day, sharp pains in the abdominal and pelvic areas on and off stuff like that. Is she having regular bowel movements? What kind of medication is she on? What foods are being eaten by her regularly, being very specific. Etc. These things need to be know before any real answer can be given. Hope this gets you started on helping your friend. Zeb
Guest guest
Hi, Pam ?? German Shepherd dogs ? My friend is actually a human being :-) Anyway, I did look up a medical encyclopedia and it does specifically covered 'anal fistula' and not mentioned any other kind of fistulas. Still, if they had to specify this type of fistula, I was just assuming that there must be other ones. Perhaps someone with more medical knowledge can enlighten us on this.
