Guest guest
It doesn't matter, big or small dogs or breeds, personalitites are so different. I raised 2 german shepherd puppies with a whole bunch of cats for one year - hopefully, they would not kill them and within the barn they are great. As soon as they are let loose on the grounds - if a cat gets out - they chase it and kill it. Put the dogs back in closed quarters - and they are fine. Almost equate it with being in prison - they are OK. Put them out on the streets - and it is gang warfare !! JM Plus herding dogs usually are fed whatever they are herding. They do not go out and kill it. IF you get your puppies around the babies at an early age I think it deters them from the killing instinct.
