Morning Edition, November 10, 2005 · Cows and people in the Brazilian

state of Minas Gerais are coming down with a flu-like illness that is

not deadly, but has debilitating symptoms. Scientists think the

disease may be linked to a smallpox eradication campaign that ended 30

years ago.
