Heel spurs? (Plantar fasciitis?)

Hello!

After years of pounding the pavement with my feet (walking for hours on

concrete/etc for my job), I'm developing heel spurs. I've always had foot pain

when overdoing and not having supportive enough shoes. But now I seem to be

getting a very painful heel spur. A friend got one and ended up with surgery.

Isn't there something else that can be done?

Thanks!

Gert

Gert, I know how painful heel spurs can be. Several years ago, my doctor

told me that if my spur did not go away in 6 weeks, I would need surgery. I

started getting on a NordicTrack ski machine every day with sockfeet (no

shoes), no impact. Within 3 weeks, my spur had disappeared. I have since

talked

to others who had the same result with gentle, no impact exercise. Good luck,

don't let them cut.

Bromelain (core of the pineapple)tablets between meals works, but it takes a

while...I just stay on it even after I get results. It does work. Eat and

drink more pineapple also. NG
