Guest guest
I can't remember who instigated it, but if you go to the supplyreview list, there was an extremely long thread on exactly this - what happened when somebody mentioned the extra charges. If you read their terms, you agree to accept whatever their second charge is when you order. A few people questioned it, and were basically told " If you don't like it, order elsewhere. Buh bye. Guest guest
I was just wondering....I have heard so much good and bad about Camden-Grey's eo's being sent in plastic, over charging for shipments and sending out their products in an untimely fashion. And also from people that like them just fine. The question is: Has anyone heard from Camden Grey answering the problems? I would like to know if he is trying to solve the problems or just over looking what the buyers don't like??? Or is no one telling him they are unhappy? I for one don't like plastic bottles and I don't like transferring the product into them, because I always spill at least a small amount. I would prefer the glass bottles also but I understand the cost of the bottles them selves. It would be nice if we had a choice. I know the work that might create but I would gladly pay for the glass if I did have a choice. Just my 2 cents... I haven't posted before but I have ordered many times with Camden-Grey and order a lot of EO's and carrier oils and large orders and have got great service from them and wonderful products. The EO's have always come in glass and packaged very well. It takes me quiet a long time to undo the wrapping on them. The only thing that comes in plastic are the carrier oils. and that is the way the carrier oils are shipped in plastic with most companys. The only thing was in the last order I recieved my Forah oil was smelling a little rancid and they replaced it quickly. I don't know maybe I have just been blessed or something but I order from them a lot. thanks charli
Guest guest
I know of a few people who complained to CG about their fees etc and got very rude nasty replies back. I highly suggest going to the supplier review lists and reading up on them for yourselves. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have to share my experience with CG after reading so many posts. Many of you will recall the arduous argument I got in with Vivian the owner of CG. I posted a reply to some educational questions and included a recommended reading list. I was treated very badly. My credentials and experience were publicly questioned on the group and I had to come out swinging to defend myself - which I did and was then re-admitted to the group. My point is that not only was I treated rudely on the group by both the owner and her chat monitor (they really embarrassed themselves judging by the hundreds of emails I got offline), I have been treated rudely in person by the owner when I go to pick up an order of JUST GLASS VIALS. I purchased EO's and CO's once from CG and they came in plastic bottles - very bad form, the CO's went rancid within a month - unacceptable and unbelievable! and their eo's were so grassy and alcohol smelling that I spent nearly $8000 comparing eo's from other sources before I found the direct importer that I work with now. Their oils are cheaper, but they are not pure eo's in my experience. I'd rather do as I do and import the pure eo's and co's and pay a little extra to receive them well packed, IN GLASS, no breakage - ever - from Spain, Turkey, China, anywhere that I get my oils from. I contacted 3 of my suppliers after reading these posts and every one of them state that due to careful packaging, breakage rarely occurs. I ship internationally and nationally and I have never had a bottle break. I guarantee my eo's and my goods. I ship insured mail and I have never had any problems. Our shipping charges are just straight postage and $1 - $5 for handling depending on package size (bubble wrap, peanuts, tape). That's it! In fact, if a shipping or postage charge goes over what we charge the customer, we pay for it, period. We feel it's very poor business practice to ship eo's in plastic, over or after charge a customer and unacceptable to be rude for any reason. I no longer get even bottles from CG - their prices and availability are not worth the harassment. I find bottles elsewhere and have great suppliers. I've compared CG's prices on eo's to my own - for the quality and customer service and honest business practice - they aren't much cheaper. To all of you wonderful creators of yummies - I hope you find someone who can provide you with quality, great customer service and honesty! You deserve it. Guest guest
So Kirstin, and all, Then who is your supplier of choice? If not Camden grey? You may email me privately if you'd like. I would like to know. I presently buy a lot from CG (and others too) but CG has some things I haven't found elsewhere. Maybe I'm missing a good supplier and just don't know it!!! Guest guest
Veronica, I cannot tell you how much your email means to me. Although I was always raised with Native medicine, I'm new to the " web world " and, as a business, I'm struggling a lot. What Vivian and Ela did to me really hurt me seriously in this community. My web designer did a horrible job and I've had to borrow money to hire a new one and the site is delayed, again. On top of that, I've pledged 80% of my profits through December 31st to the Red Cross. I may be eating macaroni and cheese for a few weeks, but I've got it better than a lot of other people right now. When they claimed that my education and experience were a " farce " it really hurt me. My credentials and experience have been tested and I will be starting office hours with a well respected local pediatrician and adult medicine group here in Miami next month. I truly appreciate that you recognized what they were doing. As a fellow business owner, your withdraw of support to them shows a unified front that we believe in practicing ethical business. Thank you. I love your site. My sister has MS so as soon as I saw your support for the foundation I was really touched by your site. It's beautiful and I really enjoy looking at all your gorgeous products. When I grow up, I want to be like you. Thanks, again, for the supporting email. I really needed it. Take good care. I met their moderator in person and know for a fact she did not have the experience you have and thought it was just down right rude of her and the owner to come down on you like that publicly. I have since that incident not had anything to do with them and will never order from them ever again or allow them to advertise on my list. They are definitely on my bad supplier list. Guest guest
Hi Katherine, I also was on that list the same time you were. I'd just joined not too long before your situation happened. I remember thinking that whole business was the most unprofessional thing they could do. If they had any questions, they should have contacted you offline to discuss it. I was through with them also after that. I didn't know anyone on the list, but it didn't matter. You just don't do things like that to fellow human beings. My gut instinct to not be involved was correct I see. Trust me, there are probably a lot more people out there that feel the way Veronica and I do. They might have caused a little bump in the road, but I know I'll pray that the road goes uphill from here. Your from the heart contribution to charity will spread that good Karma. It will come back to you. Tam Mother Earth's Apothecary <motherearthsapothecary wrote: Veronica, I cannot tell you how much your email means to me. Guest guest
Katherine, I'm a firm believer in the customer is always right. I also do not approve of their billing practices. I ordered from them 2x's and was not happy when after the 2nd order they billed my CC an additional time for some sort of packing fee. Instead of them charging it with the original order they then 2 weeks later charged me 8.00 to my card for packing materials!! Now what the heck is that about? They never asked for my approval or notified me in any way shape or form that I was going to be billed yet again!! I certainly wouldn't have approved it. I was originally billed 5.00 shipping and handling fee on top of the cost of shipping in my original order. That was the last straw for me. I refuse to order from them. There is nothing they have that you can't get anywhere else. In fact their prices are high even when on sale. I then only stayed on their list to learn from the others there but when I saw them publicly post nasty things to you and others as well that was the finally straw. No list is that great that its worth sitting there and watching them publicly rip people apart. I'm sorry about your sister and her having MS. I've had it since I was a teenager but didn't get diagnosed till I was 31. No one thought to look at my spinal cord till I went to a specialist in Philly who figured it out. He was the only specialist who believed in me. All of the others I went to said I was just stressed out or depressed. Hell they are the ones who made me so depressed. They had me thinking I was just going crazy. I mean when you wake up and can't walk or you look like you've had a stroke and a specialist says nothing is wrong with you then you start to question your own sanity. This one guy in particular did a spinal MRI and bingo!! There it was. My spinal cord looks like a snow storm. Amazing how bad my spinal cord looks and how now I'm doing great. Some people may have a lesion the size of the tip of a pin and can't move anything from the neck down while others like me have dozens of them the size of a dime and are walking and getting around really well. It all depends on where the damage occurs on what your MS will be like. No one knows just what will happen to you or where these spots will show up. All my best to your sister. I hope she is doing well.
