Earthlink is dead

(Forward to all on the net.)

Unfortunately, this only names three. When they are all doing it, it

doesn't matter much. Apparently some are very diligently doing so. I

am going to guess they all will be doing this soon. If Alito gets in,

it will become legal and just the way it is.

Pass this on to others, but I seriously doubt that changing ISP is

going to matter. SBC and AT & T, Verizon, and so on -- they all donate

to the republican party and they all benefit from the consolidation of

corporations. It is in their interest financially to do what Bush

wants them to do. There might be little local companies which cannot

do what the big ones do, but they'll be able to shut them down too --

it's just a matter of time. This is part of controlling people and we

have known about this for a while but unless we control our government

and put a stop to the abuse of power, there is really nothing we are

going to be able to do about it.

Today we heard Gore tell all internet companies to cease and desist

aiding and abetting Bush in his crimes and illegalities. Will they

listen? No - not when they make a lot of money consolidating a few

companies -- just like we have seen with the tv media that is owned

by only 6 republican corporations. They are not going to stop until it

is a crime to do so. Bush is not only making it okay to do, he is

probably ordering them to do it. He's not going to do it with one or

two. If Bush decides to put one of them out of business, he can

probably do it so they do what he tells them to do. We've seen what

bush has done to PBS because he wants total control of the media.

Internet has been a problem for them because we get information here.

They have been after internet for a while now. They know the only way

some of us know what is happening is from on line. If they cut this

off, many of us will not know what is going on at all.

Americans are so stupid that take their ability to get information for

granted. If Alito gets in, look for laws allowing them to censor and

stop our internet mail and they will be shutting down anyone that

tells the REAL news.

THEY THOUGHT WE WERE EXAGGERATING WHEN WE TRIED TO TELL THEM THIS FOR

THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS. WE WEREN'T.

(45) Earthlink is dead

Earthlink is dead. But we're Alive and Well. Happy New Year!

[Your address had to be entered by hand into another computer, using

a different ISP, because Earthlink has escalated censorship of their

customer's email. Previously only refusing to deliver selected

messages, now Earthlink blocks ALL our email to everyone.]

It took most of last week to figure out what they were doing, but now

it's absolute that they refuse to deliver our Earthlink email to

anyone, even though I'm still under contract to pay them for delivery.

On or about 4:30 pm Tuesday, January 10, 2006, Earthlink chose to

convert itself from an ISP to a criminal enterprise. (Accepting

money, then covertly blocking delivery of the service being paid for

is fraud, by definition.)

Just before Noon on Friday the 13th, I managed to pry out of a second

Earthlink techie that Earthlink had secretly changed settings to block

my computer permanently. I demanded that he allow me to send messages

from my Earthlink accounts. Phil flatly and absolutely refused to do so.

Just after Noon, a fourth message in two months was faxed to Mr. Garry

Betty, CEO of Earthlink in Atlanta, giving him until 5:00 pm to fully

restore my Earthlink service. Failure to do so " signifies that the

only resolution Earthlink will accept is to have this matter sent to

its stockholders, and to every applicable state and federal agency

having jurisdiction over interstate censorship and consumer fraud, "

which was the option Mr. Betty chose.

_

If you enjoy being lied to, censored, ignored, swindled and cheated,

we have conclusive proof that Earthlink is your kind of ISP!

Over the past 3 months, two dozen emails were sent to 7 Earthlink

officers.

We demanded that Earthlink end censorship of our mail, that apologies

be issued by Earthlink to everyone, and that every address censored by

Earthlink be identified. No response. We've discovered that most

names on Earthlink's canned AutoReplys are fictitious. Writing back

sends you a blocked message notice, or your message is shunted down a

black hole into cyberspace.

One of our readers got through, demanding a response to our

discoveries. We got an email from Bob, claiming to be an 'Asst. to the

CEO'. In his message he threatened us with Earthlink's lawyers. Our

several email back to his address were blocked. Bob's email was the

ONLY one of hundreds of Earthlink, Inc., messages to us these past

months from what MAY have been a real person.

Four (4) faxes and three (3) USPS Certified Letters have likewise been

ignored.

As of this mailing, Earthlink has delivered 166 messages this past

week which it will not allow us to Reply to. Our only option now is

to read our email on screen from our Earthlink accounts, then to

manually respond from another computer, using a different ISP. It sucks.

The business of an ISP is to deliver the mail, not to serve as a

gatekeeper.

Earthlink's censorship is like having your postman open your snail

mail, decide what you may send or read, and trash the rest without

telling you.

Besides Earthlink blocking my family's personal addresses, thus far

we've discovered blockage of at least six others, including

Seniors United for Victory (SUVnet)

At least one county Democratic party

CensoredMail

The True Blue Network

You may recall True Blue warned you of AOL censorship in Issue #41.

[One way to check to see if Earthlink censored your mail is to see if

there is a break in the sequentially numbered True Blue commentaries

we sent.]

You were warned of Earthlink's discovered censorship after I

personally relayed a FOIA petition for the Democratic National

Committee, demanding release of documents proving GwB's domestic

spying. CEO Garry Betty must believe he protects GwB by censoring

Earthlink customer's email that exposes GwB's crimes against America.

Or else he's under orders to do so.

We've been able to identify some of Earthlink's censorship of our

Outgoing mail. We have almost no way to identify censored Incoming

mail, since we never receive it. However, from the number of

follow-up inquires we got about email that never arrived here, we know

it's happening.

In the end, Earthlink shall fail in its attempts to censor our

political speech.

But we shall succeed in showing Earthlink's true colors: Fascist Red.

As we let Earthlink know we had outed them in November, we found

ourselves suddenly bombarded. Since Thanksgiving week, we've received:

892 commercial spam messages, only 1/3 caught as spam;

312 went to one dormant, unused address alone; and also

126 virus attacks, receiving as many as ten (10) per day.

To intimidate us, we began receiving daily virus attacks masquerading

as messages from the FBI or CIA. When we refused to open them, more

came; so many that detection equipment at Earthlink kicked in,

notifying us for the next month that 115 virus laden email had been

intercepted. After we started certified letters to Earthlink, this

virus barrage abruptly stopped.

You may have noticed that Earthlink and AOL have stepped up TV ads

promoting their Spamblockers. Look closely. These expensive ads are

NOT to attract new customers as they appear, but to stem the exodus of

existing customers. Earthlink and AOL are the two largest Spam Super

Magnets in the Universe (only slightly ahead of ).

If Earthlink or Mindspring (or AOL) is your ISP, and you don't like to

be censored, you may want to seriously begin shopping around for a

new, more trustworthy ISP that will NOT covertly censor your email.

Thus far, because we spent lots of time resisting, Earthlink has

failed to stop us.

But do you really want to put up with this kind of behavior from your ISP?

The following memo is being sent by snail mail to Earthlink stockholders:

Greetings:

You're receiving this memorandum and copy of TrueBlue #45 because

you've been identified as a stockholder of Earthlink, Inc.

As an owner of Earthlink, Inc., you're personally responsible for

everything this corporation does in your name. The " corporate veil "

provides you no shield of protection from responsibility for crimes

that officers of the corporation commit.

On January, Friday the 13th, 2006, Mr. Garry Betty signaled that he

wanted you to receive this letter describing his malevolent

performance as the nominal CEO of Earthlink, Inc.

Being an owner, your name shall be posted on the internet along with a

description of Earthlink's behavior unless you tell us you are no

longer an Earthlink stockholder.

Your deadline for a reply is George Washington's birthday, Feb 22, 2006.

Please respond only to: Gary Bettty's <CensoredMail

You will note that CEO Garry Betty allows us only to read, but not to

respond to email properly sent to us at this, one of our Earthlink

addresses.

With warmest regards,

True Blue Network Administrator

AOL has been monitoring and censoring since I've known of AOL. I

simply don't understand why people continue to use it.

I often hear about how bad AOL, Earthlink, etc. are - I never hear what people

are suggesting for alternatives. Most companies today only care about the

bottom line - and not whether they have a bad reputation for censorship/etc.

So is it any better going with a local ISP? What are the alternatives that

WOULD work?
