Guest guest
take 3mg of melatonin and drink a cup of decaf tea before going to bed. also, don't just lay there til you fall asleep, read a book- nothing too thrilling, poetry or short stories work well because they don't require long attention spans to finish so you won't be glued to the book for hrs because you want to finish it. my favorite to read for this time is the book of Psalms or Proverbs in the Holy Bible. much love in Christ, sara 22/f/WI Maria Flores <alexymariaflores wrote: I have a problem getting to sleep at night and when i do get to sleep I have a problem waking up and when I am awake I do not have any energy . Guest guest
what works for me is a gradual cold shower (the sudden cold shower is too stressful) in the morning, as it seems to increase wakefulness and energy, and a head-out hot shower or a hot bath 30 min before going to bed. The hot shower or bath should make you sweat and must induce fatigue, only in this case it seems to help to fall asleep. Basically the idea is to use gradual cold showers as a stimulant/antidepressant and hot showers as a sedative/hypnotic. Below are the references. Guest guest
If you take 500 mg of GABA and Tryptophan with the 1-3mg Melatonin one hour before bed it usually does the trick DM
Guest guest
hi, once a time i was also insomniac and tried alternative therapies. They recommend me for regular practice of 'Yoga'. 'Yoga' is basically derived from Indian culture. Still today I am practicing this regularly and getting the unbelievable result from it. Its not only that I am no more insomniac now but also my concentration power and tolerance power has increased. A few days ago I found http://www.rvita.com. Here I found lots of information about alternative therapies for many chronic diseases. Hope this will help.
