June's Theme: Beyond Theology We continue the theme of Beyond Theology for our Exploring Spirit weekly gatherings. Each week, we will view and discuss a series of topics on DVD covered by a number of noted theologians, scholars and authors. Beyond Theology explores the evolution of consciousness, examining topics such as the challenges confronting humanity and the changing representations of God. Bill Moyers said of this series: This is an ambitious series with some of the most interesting voices in religion in America today. They take us beyond the current conflicts about religion and politics and show us a hopeful vision of faith based on the deepest longings of heart and mind. " The weekly topics in this theme are the following: Mon., June 2: A Spirituality of Co-Creation Mon., June 9: Church and State Mon., June 16: A Congress of the World's Religions Mon., June 23: A Finger Pointing at the Moon Mon., June 30: Mysticism and the Perennial Philosophy As a special event, director Dave Kendall, who created this series, will join us on Monday the 23rd to answer questions and lead our discussion. Exploring Spirit takes place every Monday from 6 to 7:30 PM, and is open to all. It consists of a brief introduction of the weekly topic, open discussion, followed by cleansing passes administered by the healing staff. Refreshments are served after the gathering.
