Guest guest
I am taking synthroid125 milligrams and I started to take a small tea spoon of virgin coconut oil in the morning with my tea. I bought L-tyrosine and Vitex at sprouts. I take each one every other day. so one day I take the vitex and the next day I take the L- tyrosine. I am seeing if this will help me to heal my thyroid so I no longer need medication. I started going to a Yoga class on Tuesday nights too. I think that this will help me to stretch those muscles and help to move my thyroid so it can work better. I informed my doctor of my goal and she just listen, the blood work tells the real tale. so I will have to see in a few months if my body is healing itself or if I need to keep trying. There is NOT a lot of support out here in the world for people like us who believe we can heal our bodies back to balance. I'm really glad you wrote to me, and shared! :-) What kind of things are you doing currently? how much synthroid are you on? what other suppliments are you taking? If you could answer these questions on the board we can continue the discussion there...I have lots more information in my head to share :-) LOL Be well and enjoy the night! ~Amy~ --- On Wed, 7/9/08, dina davis <bethgalli2001 wrote: dina davis <bethgalli2001 beth lakotasiouxgrizzly2006 Wednesday, July 9, 2008, 10:33 AM Thank you for that reply, I know it was for Kim, but I too am currently taking synthroid and want to heal my body so I no longer need to take my medication. Your email really gave me plenty of food for thought. My goal is still to heal my thyroid, yet I will not give myself an expectation of how that is going to look or how much time it will take. I will be loving to myself and still go threw the proper medical and educational steps to lead me to that place. Thanks Beth
Guest guest
Hang in there, Beth, and trust that you know your body as well as - if not better than - anyone else or even a lab test. I can tune in and get a sense if my body's on the right track or I need to tweak something. I have faith that I have the best degree you could have in my own body's needs. I, too, am hypothyroid and went the Synthroid route long ago, which never led me back to good health. Today, I am entirely self treated. Yes, I take supplements, but that seems to me like a real reasonable approach and much better than reliance on prescription meds. Yoga is great for your thyroid. There are even poses that help stimulate your thyroid. Ask your instructor about that. I bet he/she will be glad to guide you.
