Guest guest
Hi everyone. This is the first time I have posted as my questions are always answered by searching the archives... but not this time! Although there are many alternative ways to get rid of conjunctivitus mentioned in past messages, none state whether they are OK for little ones under the age of 2. The tea bag and honey suggestions look good, but are they ok for infant eyes? Many thanks for all your tips and suggestions, Christina

Guest guest
some years ago, when I was doing street cat rescue, I made a 50/50 mixture of aloe vera gel and 10ppm colloidal silver to clear up those horrible bulging eye infections caused by herpes. I would store this mixture in a small brown dropper bottle in the refrigerator causing the gel to thicken and put a drop in each eye twice a day. Most of the infected eyes cleared up within a week. I believe the coldness of the drops was very soothing of the inflamed eye(s). This remedy would be safe to use in a human baby's eyes. Guest guest
Often times, conjunctivitis will resolve on it's own. To keep the tear ducts open; with a warm wash cloth simply 'massage gently' periodically...perhaps each time the baby gets a diaper change. (with clean hands of course) This helps greatly and I used this method on my kids. Sometimes cases are a bit stubborn and may require other interventions. Guest guest
You could try colloidal silver. Worked on me. Make sure it's made properly. - " cheryl bullock " <cooee.shari Thursday, February 12, 2009 1:10 AM Re: Conjunctivitus in a baby Hi-- golden seal ointment is good for conj--- just rub a small smear over eyelids and lashes=doesnt have to be globs but so it will get into eye a little-use clean finger for each eye and wash you and babys hands so not to reinfect-if baby keeps rubbing sore eyes will reinfect-- you may find golden seal eye drops somewhere-try yourself first to see effect---may be good to do just before sleeping-this is what am indians used-i used it on my kids and dog -all works. --- On Thu, 12/2/09, christinacudworthfranson <christinacudworthfranson wrote: christinacudworthfranson <christinacudworthfranson Conjunctivitus in a baby Received: Thursday, 12 February, 2009, 8:37 AM Hi everyone. Guest guest
It should resolve itself within probably about 14 days, iirc. The problem is that it's so contagious. Keep washing your hands! I used colloidal silver to kill my pinkeye. I used electroherbalism to kill my niece's. - " Max " <orange_stuff99 Thursday, February 12, 2009 8:23 AM Re: Conjunctivitus in a baby Often times, conjunctivitis will resolve on it's own.
