Guest guest
Try adding apple cider vinegar to your dog's water. I think you need to put in 2T to a gallon. It works pretty well. Kay
Guest guest
Hi, Kay. I'm JUST new to the group and saw this message. I wanted to ask about this flea remedy and see if it's pretty reliable. How does it work? We have a Basset that we HATE spraying that Adam's flea spray on. We're also considering Front Line because it also helps with the mosquito thing (heartworm), and we live on the gulf, in Mobile, Alabama... mosquito heaven. Anyway, nice to meet you. ) This apple cider vinegar trick sounds really interesting. Guest guest
Hi Ella: What happens is that the dogs stink to the fleas, and they find something else to bite. It also keeps off mosquitos (carriers of heart worm). I'm also new to the list, but I've had dogs for many years so I have some ideas about how to keep them healthy without poisoning them. Guest guest
Hi - I'm new to the group as of today. I've been into natural alternative health for over 20 yrs now. I didn't get to see the whole thread on the flea issue, but wanted to put in my 2 cents worth. We found a stray kitten about 4 yrs ago, and she had fleas. I started putting about 1/2 tsp of garlic root extract in her Iams canned food (of which she eats one can a day), and in about 3 days, the fleas were gone. I have done this every day since, and she has never had fleas since. BTW, she's an outside cat, so is exposed to everything. Guest guest
I've always used extra garlic in my pets' diets when fleas and such become a problem. JohnElla <jalilahs_soul wrote: Hi, Kay.
