feverfew will help with the migraines, but you should try to get rid of the

cause if you can. my first recommendation would be to cut out aspartame,

which is artificial sweetener. it's found in almost anything that says

" sugar free " or " diet " . high stress also contributes to migraines, and not

enough sleep. if you've got allergies that you're not tending, that is a

factor, as is the quality of your food. try to eat more meat and green

leafy vegetables whenever you can, and try to eat high-quality animal fats

instead of vegetable oils (with the exception of olive and coconut oils,

which are good). that might be hard if you have to eat in a cafeteria, but

in general just try to choose " real " food whenever possible (a steak or

even meatloaf instead of a hamburger or pizza).

most importantly get rid of the sugar free stuff, and get some feverfew.

While i agree with the statement about the diet, this doesnt address

the immediate requirement.

I cant take feverfew as i have a bad reaction to it, but i agree

with Jan with regards to the Chiropratic approach, this always gets

rid of my migraines.

Now in a pinch here a few things that you can keep on hand that can

help if one happens to creep up on you in the future:

Panther Piss - have a shot, there have been times when i can tell a

migraine is coming and have had a shot and the migraine does not

come.

The peppermint and lavender product sold here in the states is

Called MigraStick and it is just peppermint and Lavender and yes you

can just use those oils by dabbing a qtip's worth on your temple.

Just make sure you put it in the hariline so that the oils dont ease

their way down your forehead and into your eye. Sometimes this

works great.

If you can tell that your migrain is from stress or strain on the

neck, jaw or spine, try one of the following: Traumeel or Arnica

Gel or DTR Oil on the spot that is hurting. Massage in lightly and

then apply ice for 20 minutes.

And lastly Homeopathic Arnica and Belladonna. I take according to

directions and have had good results on occassion.

Good luck

Sylvia
