Guest guest
Hello all, I have been diagnosed with MS. I have several lesions in my legs and shoulder blades and 2 in my eyes. I have no brain lesions or any in my spinal region. I went to the doctor for reoccurring symptoms that I was treating as stress, such as post traumatic stress with slight depression. I dissagreed with the doctor's findings and asked him to please keep looking for fungus, virus, or protein problem. He said that he would keep looking if I started MS medicines. I don't want to do this. Also, we have no naturapathic physician in this area. I have completed the cleanse and myy diet is rich in fatty acids from fish oil and coconut and flaxseed.I also take garlic, tumeric, cayenne, passion flower and oat straw. I get my proteins from eggs, TN, and walnuts. My most recent " episode " started 3 weeks ago with my left butt and thigh muscle twitching. Then I got the raw throat with flu symtoms. I became achy and stiff. Really stiff. My eyes now twitch and I have bouble vision. I upped my garlic to 3 cloves throughout the day, extra b vits sublingual, zinc and extra water.I also have upped my tsp. of cayenne to 5 times a day to help with the pain. So far, I am at the cold sweat stage, but no nerve relief. I am still in pain and I feel like a rubber band stretched tight and humming. Any thoughts suggestions. Nothing so far has shortened these " episode " . But, when I did the cleanse, I remained symptom free for almost 2 months. Thanks in advance
Guest guest
well, this is going to sound like a broken record, but stop eating gluten, which is frequently a cause of MS. also get rid of all processed foods, " diet " foods, " sugar free " foods, etc. otherwise you're just treating the symptom and not the cause. if you have a lot of fillings, and going gluten free doesn't totally solve the problem, then consider having them removed. -katja, in a hurry At 12:08 PM 8/26/2004, you wrote: >Hello all, >I have been diagnosed with MS. Guest guest
Thank you. I do eat a whole food only diet and the only sweetner I have used is stevia. The only dairy I eat is whole, organic yogurt, unflavored, for my smoothies. 90 percent of my diet is raw or lightly steamed vegetables, with a nut protein or an egg protein with it. Now I have only been eting whole food for about 2 years now, and I have been working with these symptoms for 10 years. They have been increasing to almost 1x a month until " the cleanse " then, I was free until a few weeks ago. My symptoms are severe this time and involve my eyes for the first time. I am continuing with herbal and nutrtional approaches, and thank you from my heart for the info about diet. ===== Love and Laughter, Theresa M. I am >continuing with herbal and nutrtional approaches, and >thank you from my heart for the info about diet. good - you're already well on your way! it sounds like you don't eat meat? i'd change that right away. if you feel concerned about animals, then buy meat from a farm where you can supervise the treatment of the animals and make sure that they are living a happy and healthy life out in the sunshine, eating what they are supposed to eat (and not a bunch of cheap grain). we allow people to come to our farm any time, day or night, unannounced - there will be farmers in your area who allow this too. also, start taking cod liver oil and butter oil right away (www.greenpasture.org) - did i already say that? - especially if you're not eating meat to date, this will give you a boost. finally, remember that you must cook or ferment your brassicas and cruceferious vegetables! your body can't afford the enzyme inhibitors and goitrogens you'll get in raw broccoli, kale, cauliflower, cabbage, etc. i'd also strongly consider adding high quality ghee into your diet - even if you're lactose intolerant or casein intolerant, this is safe. ghee has neither casein nor lactose. also add in coconut oil from www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com (there's other sources, but this is my favorite. i like the philippine oil the best, but they're all good.) if you found that a cleanse helped you, then you should try supplementing your liver on a regular basis. lots of burdock root and dandelion root tea (you'll have to give that a good hearty boil, not just steep it like leaf teas), and try a co-Q10 supplement from www.drrons.com - he sells the supplement from thorne research, which contains no additives. hang in there! -katja

Guest guest
I'm not sure what kind of cleanse you just did, but I would also recommend a whole series (10-12) of colonics over the next year. I would check all labels and eliminate anything that contains aspartame (a leading cause of M.S. symptoms). I ditto the recommendation to have all tooth fillings removed and replaced with composite materials. Have a biologic dentist remove root canals and repair cavitations. Stay away from photographic developing chemicals, get your gas pumped by someone else at a full serve station and keep your car window closed. Speedy recovery! herbal remedies , katja <katja@a...> wrote: > yeah - right on, jan. > > -katja > > At 01:34 PM 8/26/2004, you wrote: > > > You might also consider Multiple Chemical > >Sensitivity Disorders and look at things in your > >household (and work) with artifical fragrances and > >nasty ingredients. > >What you eat and what it is packaged in. > > There are so many other > >illnesses/diseases/poisonings that have similar > >symptoms to MS. Guest guest
What about supporting the nervous system with nourishing nervous system herbs like lemon balm, chamomile, oatstraw, and stinging nettle? My favorite way to take these is simply to enjoy them as a tea. Though, steamed, fresh nettle is a treat and can be substituted in recipes for spinach. I would also take something to support the liver, such as dandelion root or milk thistle. I would seriously look into any potential allergies- whether food related or environmental. herbal remedies , " hooked_on_travel " <hooked_on_travel> wrote: > Hello all, > I have been diagnosed with MS.
