awhile back there was conversation here about dr schulze and the cold sheet treatment. Can the sauna take the place of that... and if so how would it be done?

Instead of cold sheet treatment, you can use hot bath. It should be really hot water( do not burn yourself) stay about 30 min. I usually add Epsom salt and some herbs, like sage or lavender. During the bath you should drink hot ginger tea, (sometimes I take Elderflower).

After the bath wrap yourself in cotton blankets and stay still to sweat for 1 or 2 hrs. I prefer to take shower after that and rinse all toxins from the skin.
