Guest guest
Hello my friends! I've been away for a while. I'm sure I've missed a lot of good stuff here! I went to Michigan to visit family for a week at the end of July, and while there ended up flying from the back of a horse and breaking a couple bones. I know, silly me for flying off a horse. Perfectly good horse, too! No reason to go flying! Anyway, I'm getting mended and needed to connect back up with you wonderful people! It's good to be back! Yes, I've been doing a bunch of stuff to heal faster - Total Nutrition, Lemon Egg, Bone Flesh & Cartilage tea and tincture and Deep Tissue Repair Oil. Guest guest
It's always great to hear testimonials, thanks Keli! I just started the family herbalist course from the school of natural healing, and it saddens me that most people are not aware of the wonders of herbs and healthy living (I used to be one of them). Guest guest
Hi Roni! Thanks for the encouragement! Yes, natural living and herbal remedies are the only way to go! How's the course? Guest guest
Hi Kelly, So far the course has been even better than I expected. It came with 2 books, 2 study guides, 2 videos, and 3 CDs, as well as a one year subscription to the schools audio newsletter. I have finished most of Dr. Christopher's "Herbal Home Health Care" book, and have learned more about herbs and their uses than I ever imagined. I can't wait to finish the course, and am already plotting how I can afford to take the next set of courses. I would really like to do the entire master herbalist program. I am just so happy that I found this list, it really has been a life changing experience for me. I knew very little about herbs before finding you all, and now I'm learning more every day. I'm also on week 3 of the TBC, and although this week is certainly keeping me busy I'm feeling great. Love, Roni Kelli Bever <kelli wrote: Hi Roni! Thanks for the encouragement! Guest guest
Hi Keli, I'm on day 4 of week 3, and I have to admit I am ready to be done with this week. I can't wait to have my fruit tomorrow. I kind of miss chewing Yes, this is my first TBC, but I have done 3 day juice cleanses in the past. Although I think they were very worthwhile, Doc's TBC is definitely more thorough. I feel like I am doing something really wonderful for my body. The only real struggle I've had so far is with the ginger baths. I love the ginger tea and bath, but I tend to be pretty sensitive to heat. The last few nights I have stopped my bath early because I start feeling really physically sick, not naseaus, but light headed, heart and head pounding. Once I cool off I feel fine, but I know I'm not getting the full benefit since I am not staying in a half hour. Any suggestions? Love, RoniKelli Bever <kelli wrote: Wow, that is awesome Roni!!! Guest guest
Hi Roni, Wow, almost done with week 3! GOOD FOR YOU!!! Week 4 is going to feel so easy, and you're almost there! You are definitely doing something really wonderful for your body! (I can totally relate to missing chewing!!! Juice fasts are always the hardest part for me too!) How much time are you getting on the bath? Are you going 20 minutes or more, or stopping much earlier than that? The only thoughts I have are to get some fresh air into the bathroom. If it's too hot and humid and there's no fresh air, maybe that's a problem. Also to cut the temp on the bath down just a little. It may not take much for you to go the full 30 minutes. The thing that's important is that you SWEAT. Are you sweating? Maybe you can continue to sweat with the water a little less hot. Anyway, those are my only thoughts. Let me know how that goes for you. Guest guest
Hi Kelli, Thanks for the advice! I got to thinking about it and I had been making the water a little hotter every night, and I've only been having this problem for the last few nights or so. So, I eased up on the hot water a bit and what'd'ya know I felt fine and was able to go longer than 30 minutes and still had a good sweat. Silly me, I guess I took the "hot as you can stand it" a little too far (for me anyway). Love, RoniKelli Bever <kelli wrote: Hi Roni, Wow, almost done with week 3! GOOD FOR YOU!!!
