Guest guest
Moderator's Note: Why does it have to be either/or? Could both play a part? Are those the only " choices " ? What is the effect of HAARP, chemtrails, rising Earth temperatures (though I don't buy into " global warming " as an end for a carbon tax- which for the powers that be, I feel that is all they really want- a global tax.) We need to start looking from a broader view- not limit ourselves to the choices that we are " given " . Not limit ourselves to the government giving us our information (like the gov site for regulation info). Or limiting ourselves to the mainstream media (or any media) giving us our views and opinions. We need to start thinking critically for ourselves now or we will be swept away by the winds. Getting off my soap box.. Guest guest
It's very interesting that you say this. Just today I was out in the country at a strawberry patch picking a few baskets of berries. I asked the owner if they spray their crop and she said no. Then, I told her I saw her bee hives and I was curious how many bees they have. She told me that they have just as many bees as always. I thought that was interesting considering all the news coverage of the missing bees. Now it makes sense. , Jerome Mittelman <jmittelman wrote: > > > A Mysterious Killer of Honeybees Threatens Our Food Supply > > Bees, needed for crop growth, are dying when they're near farms using > Genetically Modified (GM) seeds. > Bees are healthy when away from these GM planted crop farms. Guest guest
Moderator's Note: Let me get this straight- Monsanto, the largest producer of GM food, a company who claims if your crops have been contaminated by their GM genes- your crops become their property because you are " using " their GM genes (and this was upheld in court), a company who has develped terminator seed technology so that seeds can't be saved and used for next year's crop- as has been tradition with farmers for all of time, meaning that all new seeds have to be bought from Monsanto- a company who clearly, repeatedly demonstrates that their intention is to own the world's food supply ---- would become the owner of the world's food supply if all the bees disappeared (possibly because of their death in part from GM food.) And it is all there, broadcasted in a financial newsletter but we are encouraged to buy the right stock and make more money as the real powers of the world wrap the chains even tighter around our necks. Oh, those conspiracy people are such loons- when will they wake up to the real world? M. ----------------- And from a financial newsletter: Honest - I didnt make this up: So, with that in mind, here are two investments that would look pretty attractive should honeybees completely vanish. #1. Monsanto (MON): Monsanto is the leader in bioengineered crops. Plus, it makes the Roundup line of pesticides and provides seeds that tolerate Roundup. If Imidacloprid is banned … and if we have to bioengineer plants to survive without bees, Monsanto could reap a windfall. #2. Archer Daniels Midland (ADM): This company is the world's largest processor of corn and wheat, two crops that don't need bees. And if pollinated crops became scarce, we'd probably be eating a lot more corn and wheat! ADM is also the world's largest producer of corn syrup, a sweet substitute for honey. Good luck and good trades, Sean
