To use: Measure out 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup and wash your clothing in warm or cold water. Use cold water for the rinse cycle. *Lavender-Scented Laundry* Add several drops of Lavender Essential Oil <http://coldfusion.affiliateshop.com/AIDLink.cfm?AID=051090 & BID=2101> to the final rinse cycle or scent a cloth and throw it into the dryer to freshen a load of clothes. *Simple Laundry Soap Recipe* 80 oz. (2.27 kilos) *Lard* 11.10 oz. (314.68 grams) *Sodium Hydroxide* (NaOH) 20 to 30 oz. (567 to 850.5 grams) *Distilled or Rain Water* Follow standard soap making instructions. This recipe has 0% excess fat. Lard is the most highly recommended fat for use in laundry soap for its cleaning powers. Cut a bit of the soap into stick shapes for use as stain sticks. After this soap has cured a bit, cut up 2 lbs. (.91 kilos) of soap into a large pot. Add about 2.5 gallons (2.1 UK gallons) and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Simmer until soap is dissolved. Turn off heat, cover, and let cool. Mixture will gel as it cools. After it's cooled, stir in about 3 tablespoons of your favorite EO or EO blend, if desired. Pour into a large bucket and keep covered. Use 1 to 1 1/2 cups of this mixture per washing machine load. Add ½ cup vinegar to the rinse cycle. *Other Homemade Laundry Aid Recipes* # Bleach (Heavy Duty) <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/house/house28.html> # Bleach (Hydrogen Peroxide) <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/house/house29.html> # Diaper Presoak <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseDG/house77.html> # Dirt Cheap: Homemade laundry softener <http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/335088/> # Dryer Sheet Sachet <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseDG/house305.html> # Fabric Softener I <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseDG/house91.html> # Fabric Softener III <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseDG/house328.htm> # Fabric Softener Sheets <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseDG/house93.html> # Fabric Whitener <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseDG/house95.html> # HomeMade Laundry Softener and Stain Remover <http://www.thefrugalshopper.com/articles/softener.shtml> # Ink Remover <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseHN/house142.html> # Lace Scorch Prevention <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseHN/house144.html> # Laundry PreTreat Spray <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseHN/house146.html> # Laundry PreWash Spray <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseHN/house147.html> # Laundry Starch <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseHN/house149.html> # Lavender Linen Water <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseHN/house308.html> # Nylon Stocking Strengthener <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseHN/house324.htm> # Perspiration Remover <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseOR/house183.html> # Pre-Soak (for delicate fabrics) <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseOR/house198.html> # Pre-Soak (for whites & colorfast fabrics) <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseOR/house199.html> # Pre-Wash Spray <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseOR/house201.html> # Saddle Soap <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseSZ/house208.html> # Spray & Wash <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseSZ/house237.html> # Spray Starch <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseSZ/house238.html> # Starch (basic) <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseSZ/house241.html> # Starch (for crocheted baskets & favors) <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseSZ/house243.html> # Starch (for doilies) <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseSZ/house244.html> # Steam Iron Mineral Deposit Remover <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseSZ/house245.html> # Sugar Starch <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseSZ/house289.html> # Tailor's Crease Remover <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseSZ/house247.html> # White Sock Soak <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseSZ/house269.html> # Whitening Soak <http://www.recipegoldmine.com/houseSZ/house362.html> Radiating UNCONDITIONAL LOVE & Truth To ALL who share our circle, our universe, our love, our trust.
