I'd be interested in any suggestions on this matter too... my SO has the same problem. She's a "picker" too, and tried to pick or even cut it off... and now she is getting more of them. It started with one, which I am pretty sure was there for a long time, but now there are at least two more. They don't bother her at all, but I can't get her to leave them alone, either!Love to All :)~Raavenbobijean36 <bobijean36 wrote: I have what I believe to be a wart on my hand. Here are a few remedies you can give a try. Barb

The following come from "Encyclopedia of Natural Healing."

1 - Plantain Leaves. Fill 2 cups lightly with fresh plantain leaves. Put the leaves in a glass pan with a lid and add 2 cups of cream. Cook until thick without burning, stirring occasionally. Then apply to wart.

2 - Several times a day dab the wart with a cotton swab dipped in Swedish bitters until wart disappears.

3 - Break off a dandelion leaf or flower and dab the white milky juice on the wart. Repeat several times daily for a few weeks.

4 - Apply tea tree oil on the wart until it dries up. Combine with garlic oil.

5 - Colloidal silver can be applied topically.

The following come from "Jude's Herbal Home Remedies."

1 - Rubbing the milk from milkweed several times a day is good to use. This was a popular remedy used by Native Americans.

2 - Apply the milk from a dandelion stem several times a day.

3 - Apply warm castor oil on a bandage and apply to wart. Replace 3 times a day until wart dissolves. It shouldn't take more than a week.

4 - Apply the juice of a cashew nut directly onto the wart and bandage. Reapply several times daily.

Another remedy that I know of personally that works, is veterinary strength (7%) iodine. CAUTION must be used however. Make sure you don't get any on the surrounding healthy tissue.

The juice from Dandelion

stalks applied to the wart is a remedy I've read about.

I've also heard of success using duct tape to cover the wart. This

irritates it and causes the body to attack it.

It's important to keep in mind that warts are caused by a virus and

spread easily.

Honey placed on a bandaid over the wart will usually

remove it.

I haven't been on in awhile so here's what I know. I really don't recommend doing this unless you're familiar with H2O2. Use 35% hydrogen peroxide, only a few health stores sell it. Get something very pointy, maybe a needle, something that can hold a drop of the liquid on it. Put the drop of H2O2 on the wart, nowhere else, and let it sit. The wart will turn white from the peroxide. The peroxide will eventually eat away the wart, turning it into "mush" and it will just wipe off. You might have to repeat the process a few times and it will most likely burn some when it gets down toward the root but it will get rid of the wart. Be very careful not to get the H2O2 anywhere on your body, it will burn like mad.

  • 1 year later...

Lots! I ripped mine off & it hasn't grown back - but yours may be too big

for that - the best way is to paint it with Thuja tincture and then cover it

with a water and light exclusive dressing for 6 weeks - if necessary put

clean dressings over the top for presentation rather than remove the

original dressing - I also injected Thuja - into the dressing (NOT the skin)

to keep the Thuja coming!

You should be able to get this tincture from a Health Food Store - but Thuja Occidentalis is a common conifer too

Trich,

A doctor can burn the enter of the wart with a small torch and the

rest of the wart will fall off in a few weeks. I had one removed from

my hand when I was a child.

Has anyone tried it on a sebaceous cyst? I have one on my back I can't get rid of due to the back of my bra rubbing the area. I've had it lanced but it is not draining even with hot towel packs soaked in Epsom salts. Any ideas?
