This lead me to learning about making soap from scratch and growing herbs. I gave up the soap idea (although I still love to talk about it, but I have no need since I love trying buying soaps from all the neat ladies I meet on the net). There sure is a lot of good soap out there, and a lot of nice gals (and some nice guys too) making them! > That summer I started > my 30x30 herb garden. Great! Probably won't find too many " schools " , but there are some good courses out there, including one by our very own resident EO Safety Advocate, Martin Watt. Butch has Martin's course available. http://www.av-at.com/coursedetails.html Its a good'un, as Butch would say > But for now just happy to be reading books on the subject and learning from people I have the pleasure to meet. I have a ton of graves' resources and can tell you all you ever wanted to know about it. My husband takes bee pollen and loves it. I have not taken it. I am concerned about allergies. If you flare up your allergies (food, pollen or otherwise) you can stimulate more antibody production that stimulates graves. My pollen allergies are extremely mild now that I am on a wholesome chemical free diet and doing lots of detoxing so I hope to be able to do the pollen in the future. Regarding your graves' there really is no reason why you shouldn't be stable except for doctor ignorance. Been there and seen it all. My husband takes it and loves it. Just let me know what you want to know about graves. At the place where you are, the most important thing will be to make sure you are on adequate replacement and that your doctor uses tests other than TSH to monitor you. The TSH range has been reduced by the AACE to be ..5-2.5 but most docs will let you be hypo at a range up to 6.0. BAD doctors! When you complain of hypo symptoms, they then tell you it is all in your head and want to prescribe an antidepressant. I truly hate incompetent doctors! I can't remember what info I gave you earlier, but some have found their levels are better when they have adequate progesterone and no estrogen dominance. Others have good results using and cooking with coconut oil. Soy products, unless fermented can also have a detrimental effect on your thyroid health as well. Guest guest
Well, stevia did it for me. I started drinking herbal teas with a metal bombia at the same time I stopped smoking. Thought that with using the bombia as a replacement for the ciggarette was making things loads easier than I thought and that stopping wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be. Here, it wasn't just the bombia but finding out about a year later when I did start drinking those teas, I also started using stevia as a sweetener for them, and stevia reduces tobacco cravings. Found the information in The Little Herb Encyclopedia by Jack Ritchason N.D. Hope this helps, Debbie reposting...i'm really like to know if there's any herbs to help decrease craving of smoking cigarrettes? kumilela
Guest guest
Hi everybody, I just joined this group. I had never heard of oleander soup before. I am suffering from Hepatitis C, Fibromyalgia, Spinal Stenosis, and Degenerative Disc Disease. The biggest problem is not getting the sleep I so desperately need. The lack of sleep is probably the major cause of my depression. There are a lot of good files and links here. Jay
Guest guest
Hello Jay,Welcome to the group.Oleander is very effective against Hepatitis C and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Since there is a correlation with CFS and Fibromyalgia, I would say that yes, it would be very beneficial. Something else that you might think of taking for these two conditions would be colloidal silver. Colloidal silver kills viruses and bacterias of all types, even those that are resistant to antibiotics. Colloidal silver is also very beneficial when it comes to Fibromylgia. As recent as three years ago, I suffered from fibromyalgia and I can state that I have had no symptoms whatsoever, no lethargy, no depression, and no pain. I am limber and can plop down on the floor and spring back up again. What I have attributed it up to now was colloidal silver, but with your asking the question about oleander, I remember that I was also taking oleander soup. I will stress that a proper diet is crucial to healing, and I also attribute my own healing to changing my eating habits during this time. A poor diet contributes to, if not causes, fibromyalgia. Get rid of sugar, processed foods, fast foods, junk foods, sodas, sweeteners, etc. The only safe sweeteners are Stevia and LoHan. Eat a mostly raw diet, say 80% raw and 20% cooked, consisting of chicken and fresh water fish. Getting some sunshine every day is also very important. With regard to your insomnia, let me post some remedies found in The Best Years in Life. And actually, insomnia, as with the lethargy is part of fibromyalgia. So is depression./Insomnia.htm With regard to the Spinal Stenosis and Degenerative Disc Disease, the following may help: Liquid Life Joint Care (this contains Collagen, Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM and Aloe Vera) Bone Up (combines Microcrystalline Hydroxyapatite (MCHA) (from free-range Australian calves) with Potassium Citrate to support the retention of calcium in the bone matrix. Also added are the nutrients MK-7 (a more bioavailable form of Vitamin K), and Methyl B12 for optimal osteo support)Colloidal Gold - This supplement is excellent for both arthritis, joint care, and depression.Colloidal SilverTrace MineralsOmega 3 - Omega 3's will also relieve depression. Actually, trace minerals will also help with the fibromyalgia. I attribute my healing to various supplements, diet, and a change in lifestyle. You can get all of the above supplements (except for the oleander) from http://www.utopiasilver.com . Besides these being the highest quality supplements anywhere around, Ben Taylor, who is the owner, is Tony's boyhood friend and members of this forum get a 15% discount on all items not on sale by inserting Code LR001. You can either purchase olender as a supplement from http://www.sutherlandiaopc.com , or you can make oleander soup by following the recipe below. However, you must follow precise instructions and make sure that the plant you are using has never been sprayed with any type of commercial pesticide. Guest guest
Hello Jay, Just to let you know that my hub has chronica Hep C (and HIV) and initial stage cirrhosis and since taking OPC (Oleander & Sutherlandia) and Essiac plus other supplements recommended by Tony and Marc and sourced ourselves including milkthistle which is considered superimportant for the liver, his sleepng has much improved as has appetite and energy. Another improvement which I haven-t mentioned before on site whiche however I am sure is a sign of being healthier is his libido being back to normal too. Good luck Nelly
Guest guest
Hi Nelly, I do take 900mg of milk thistle phytosome everyday, but have had to cut back to 300 a day for financial reasons. Our economic situation is worse than terrible right now. Jay
