Guest guest
I'm really curious now about the source that says bioperine is useless, other than a site which sells it without. " may need to take at least 3.6g of curcumin to achieve anticancer effect; up to 12 grams of curcumin has been used in clinical practice and in research; " [Dr.] Aggarwal notes that clinical studies have found that a daily dose of up to 12 grams (about a tablespoon) a day for three months is safe " (for more info, www.breastcancerchoices.org/curcumin.html). Generally " no side effects [from] high doses of Curcumin; rare cases of stomach upset or diarrhoea may be resolved by temporarily reducing the dosage and taking with food….Do not use Curcumin if you suffer from gallstones or a blocked bile duct " ; I would particularly take at the time of surgery (and for at least a month afterward), since it's antimetastatic; curcumin's synergistic w/genistein (in fermented soy), green tea, & bromelain. According to Keith Block, M.D. (2009), curcumin's indicated for almost all cancer patients in almost all situations (see exceptions below). Curcumin's especially effective w/ER+ breast cancer (www.herbalfields.com/c7.html) ; curcumin's not very bioavailable, but taking it w/(bio)piperine makes it 2000% more bioavailable; use good brand (e.g., New Chapter, Zyflamend, Source Naturals)www.cancerres.aacrjournals.org/contents-by-date.0.shtml (abstract 62/13/3868) " Bharat Aggarwal [from] M.D. Anderson...reporting that curcumin blocks most of the mechanisms by which prostate cancer cells survive and grow...`The potential is unlimited,' says Aggarwal….clinical studies [on] curcumin in treating colorectal cancer and multiple myeloma....studies have found that a daily dose of up to 12 grams (about a tablespoon) [of turmeric] a day for three months is safe " www.alternet.org/healthwellness/79774/?page=entirewww.lef.org/magazine/mag2002/jul2002_report_curcumin_01.html www.turmeric-curcumin.comwww.breastcancerchoices.org/curcumin.htmlwww.p2preactor.com/article4986.html www.1to1vitamins.com/news/2005/artl5877.html (prevents lung mets in BC)www.yourmedicaldetective.com/public/770.cfm (prevents lung mets in BC)
