Guest guest
Can anyone tell me what is the best way to ship oleander branches from AZ to Illinois for use in making the soup?
Guest guest
Wrap the ends that have been cut with moistioned paper towels and put bunches of the ends in plastic baggies with a few holes for ventilation. Rubberband the baggies in place and then put the bunches in the middle of a box or other container that has straw or similar packing materia. Mail via via priority shipping (2-5 shipping days - probably closer to 2 or 3 days going from AZ to IL). No need to overnight it. As soon as the package of oleander bunches arrives, make the "soup" per instructions - or else, if the leaves are not terribly wilted place the cut ends in fresh water, mist the leaves with a fine spray and make the soup within a day or two. Guest guest
When doing some research online on oleander I noticed that dried oleander was being used by a research lab for making the soup. They seemed to be getting results so maybe just drying the oleander would be the easiest way to prepare it for shipping. It would reduce the volume and the weight and reduce shipping charges and also avoid spoilage issues.
