Guest guest
Do any of you in sth TX have any recommendations for this young Mum? Homoeopath, naturopath, holistic MD who won't give her any grief over not vaccinating? TIA,Love MaraI would love to have some recommendations! I have a new freind who is a chiro, but need to ask if he works on children. I was leaning towards a homeopath or an MD who is fine w/o me vaxxing. I'm in the boonies, so am used to things being out of the way. I'm less than 2 hrs from Beaumont, 2+ to Houston, 4-5 hrs from Dallas area (only convenient b/c family lives there). I know Austin is an option, but I'm closer to Dallas.
Guest guest
I know a great homeopathic Dr. She's an optometrist, and though she still does eyes, she now does homeopathic consultations for everything. She's great, works with kids all the time, and has zero problem with no vacs. But she's in Austin. She believes in single dose remedies. It's $1000 for 6 consults. If she's interested in going to Austin, and wants the Dr's info, let me know and I'll pass it on. Samala, Renee ---- .. I'm in the boonies, so am used to things being out of the way. Guest guest
Thanks so much for that Renee. I'll pass the info on. Wow! That is expensive. We pay about $80 for initial history taking, then $60 or less after that. Much is done by phone, no charge unless there is a change in remedy. We pay about $12 for a remedy & courier charges.Love, Mara--- On Fri, 4/3/09, Gaiacita <gaiacita wrote:Gaiacita <gaiacitaRe: Who would you recommend in TX?oleander soup Date: Friday, April 3, 2009, 8:56 AM I know a great homeopathic Dr. She's an optometrist, and though she still does eyes, she now does homeopathic consultations for everything. Guest guest
Our daughter uses Dr. Seymour Goldberg in Houston for a pediatrician. He does not push vaccinations and is fine if you don’t want to do it. Our 2-year old granddaughter has not been vaccinated. He is a grandfatherly type of doctor. He encourages a lot of natural remedies. He encourages Mom’s to make their own baby’s food using organic vegetables. I have great respect for him. His son is now in practice with him. -He will see your child the same day - sick or well -If you call after hours you get his CELL PHONE - not an answering service -Never a long wait long in the waiting room, usually get right in AND he will come and tell you how many people were ahead of you -He has Saturday appointments (not sure if this is still true) Be Well~ Loretta Lanphier, ND, CN, HHP, CH oleander soup oleander soup On Behalf Of Maracuja Friday, April 03, 2009 9:48 AM OS Who would you recommend in TX? Guest guest
Yes, it is expensive. But there are so few homeopaths here. Plus, I believe the money goes for 1 year--or 6 evaluations, plus any change in remedy. So I guess it can work out, if you need more than one remedy. But sometimes the one remedy does the trick, as she spends hours and hours deciding which remedy is needed. But when things change, well, that change is covered. Guest guest
Hi Duke. No, I don't have any problem. I was telling someone else about the homeopathic eye Dr in Austin. When she was in New Braunfels, I took my dad to her. She's actually really awesome. But thanks anyway. I'll keep the name of your Dr for future reference. Guest guest
I've forwarded it. I understand - doing a history alone can take hours, let alone reporatorising! Very thorough and the nuances that parents see are encouraged. Allopathy just dismisses intuition and feelings out of hand. Thanks again.--- On Fri, 4/3/09, Gaiacita <gaiacita wrote:Gaiacita <gaiacitaRe: Who would you recommend in TX?oleander soup Date: Friday, April 3, 2009, 1:14 PM Yes, it is expensive. Guest guest
Hello Duke, Sorry - the start of this thread was my fault; a request for a dr/hom/nat recommendation in the sth TX area. A young mother from another group list is looking for a family dr who won't call HHS or CPS (whatever they call it in the US) if she chooses not to vaccinate or drug her children. The children are not ill, they are unvaccinated, but she would like the back up of a holistic type of health professional for future reference. Thanks so much for your concern.
