Guest guest
I have been traveling back and forth to the clinics in Tijuana for just over two years now and would like to take a stab at any questions you might have about the facilities... first I will provide here a quick synapses of the ones I have visited recently - First my favorite and why - International Bio Care Hospital in downtown Tijuana, easy to get to less than a 15 minute drive from the border based on traffic in a good part of town just down the street from the Tijuana Grand Hotel and very near the Caliente Casino. IBC has a great past and a very promising future under the leadership of Dr. Rodrigo Rodriquez although it recently lost one of its very best assets Dr. Henriquez the Hospital still has a very dedicated staff. I have worked with Dr. Dan Rogers, a visiting Doctor to IBC. The facilities are always spotless and the cafeteria is very affordable and has a great healthy menu. I understand the prices are high compared to other facilities but for those looking for great care and cutting edge techniques this is on the top of the list. Best known is the Oasis of Hope in Playas de Tijuana out on the Beach it is roughly 30 minutes from the border and very nice. They practice a more western style of integrated therapy now and are embracing this more day by day. This is the birthplace of Laetrile therapy. As I understand the prices are comparable to IBC and high compared to other clinics. CHIPSA - pretty much shut down at the present time although a very large facility in the Playas - Beach area. Hospital de Santa Monica - Shut down. San Diego Clinic - Run by Dr. Filberto Munoz I have heard good and bad about the clinic. Dr. Munoz is a very knowledgeable doctor and immunologist. Stella Maris Clinic - Dr. Gilberto Alvarez runs a very nice clinic with more affordable prices. Sanoviv Health Retreat - A very nice facility a little further down the coast I would say 1 hour from the border if you know exactly how to get there. This is more like a four star hotel with hospital services and is very pricey. I understand that Kurt Donsbach, PhD is now practicing at Bioscience Institute an office inside of one of the hospitals downtown just across the border. Couple of the Doctors I have worked with in the past: Dr. Dan Rogers http://www.gersonplus.com Dr. Soren Nielson http://www.cancer-smart.net I will be glad to answer any specific questions to the group. Now I know who you are talking about - and it puts my mind much more at ease to see just who it was criticizing digestive enzymes. Let me tell you straight up, I have ZERO respect for that man and would not advise anyone to ever waste the $12,000 it costs to attend his shoddy clinic in Tijuana. > It does not surprise me to find that the guy is well known on the cancercured or any other cancer forum. He is quite the self promoter. He is not, however, recognized as a major or legitimate cancer authority among any of the people I trust. > I sent you a link that should be informative. > Is there a reason you do not want his name revealed to the group here? They probably should be warned so they aren't taken in by his inconsistent hype. > > > oleander soup, " jrrjim " <jim.mcelroy10@ ...> wrote: > > > > I sent you an email regarding who this person is. He's well known over on the " cancercured " board. I think Mike knows him too. From all I can tell, he seems like a very serious researcher in the whole CAM field. > > > > I did just post a message on that board requesting exactly the information you asked for below. > > > > Believe me: in NO WAY is it my intention to start some sort of battle about this issue. But when one person makes the claim that he's seen many people get a lot worse very quickly when taking a very well known and famous CAM approach, it worries me a lot, ESPECIALLY when I've just started that approach myself! I tend to get emotional when my life may be on the line. > > > > I will do my best to become " Mr. Spock " on this issue (or perhaps Joe Friday) and just look at whatever facts I can dig up. > > > > oleander soup, " Tony " @ wrote: > > > > > > > > > It would be helpful to know who this famous person is and what type of > > > alternative protocol they recommend in order to comment intelligently. > > > It would also be helpful to know the actual numbers he is talking about > > > to get those figures - they might or might not be statisically > > > insignificant.
