Guest guest
Hi there is an association of vets who have been trained to treat all animals with Chinese medicine. They do tongue and pulse diagnosis, acupuncture and herbs. My vet went back to school to become a people acup. so that she would be better at herbal treatments. I know of vets who have worked on elephants, gorillas, as well as cats and dogs. Where do you live and I will see if I can either find an acup. vet or the name of your local acup. vet association shad

Thanks Liz, I am so relieved to find someone who believes that I don't need all that twirling . . . :-) I am wondering whether a Chinese practitioner who works on people will work on animals . . . I know that some vets do acupuncture on pets, but I assume they have all been trained here in US. Interestingly enough this Chinese man had " Trained in China " on his card, just what I was looking for. Cheers, Cat ^. .^ ~ " Optimism is magic! Guest guest
Hi I just talked to my acup. vet. She personally does not know anyone in Conn. She recommended that you go to the International Vet acup. Society. It's web site is www.ivas.org They have a locator index that can help you find one that has been through the intensive course. shad

Guest guest
Hi The Tai Sophia Institute An Acupucture School in Laurel Maryland also has a program for teaching vet acupuncture to acupuncturists and Maryland also has a state liscense for that as well, I know as I have an animal liscense. Several people from New England and NEW York were in my class but I am not sure what your state laws are for doing that, but their are programs out there.
