tongue diagnosis

My last visit at the acupuncturist, he looked at my tongue and

commented that it looks like I haven't been getting enough

sleep. Can they tell by your tongue? What characteristic

is it?

 

I sleep very well except that night before my visit I stayed

up late talking to my sister on the phone. I didn't notice

dark circles under my eyes that morning but maybe there

were other clues. Just wondering if the tongue could tell all?
