Guest guest
How does TCM " think " when it comes to auto-immune diseases ? Is everything either stagnant energy or imbalances and when these are corrected all other conditions will heal themselves ? thanks - Cat ^. .^ ~ " Enjoy the edge you're on . . . don't think about the one to come! I have two quick stories for this one: First involves the patients with lupus that I've treated (variants on hollow heat + dampness etc). These patients respond quite well, especially if they're willing to go whole hog (?) and change their lifestyle diet etc. And then on the other hand we have the story told to me by a colleague I've mentioned before. Trained in China in the university TCM stream, worked there mainly in a Tianjin hospital for a while, came to Canada earned his PhD in Human Nutrition and works at the U of Guelph doing research. His story about autoimmune disorders obviously haunts him. One young girl about 8-10 yrs old with a type of 'autoimmune disorder', and no matter what they did, all he remembers is that they couldn't help and all you could hear at night in the hospital were her screams.
