Greetings to Marcos & All,

I'm glad that you have survived my shirking :o)

I've been wanting to post for several days but my schedule has not

allowed for leisure study and e-mail correspondence. Oh,... how I

wish that a day was 48 hours - I could accomplish a lot more.

I truly appreciated that you posted additional information to study

concerning the relationship between TCM & Buddhism. I did a quick

search on the internet for Buddhism. I found a Wikipedia article

that touched on Refuge in the Three Jewels, the Four Noble Truths,

the Cause of Suffering, the Noble Eightfold Path, the Five Precepts,

and so on - there is sooo much to comprehend in life!

Thanks again for your guidance...

Sincerely, Danamarie

Dear Danamarie,

Your thanks almost overwhelmed me! but I think i'll survive;-)

Anyway, i forgot to mention the basic contribution of Buddhism to

medicine, not only in China, but wherever people look for the

'whence and where' questions. And that is the Four Noble Truths,

and the three obscurements of consciousness: desire(attachment),

aversion(anger) and ignorance, allied with the identification

with the body, the sense of 'I', and 'mine'.

The illusions of attachment arising from ignorance of our true

Being (being ever restfull in itself) give rise to all bondage

and suffering. The reflections of this in the three humours(Air,

Bile and Phlegm), lead to diseases of the mind/body.

May the Hun be with you,

Marcos
