Guest guest
Hello, I went to a popular Chinese herbalist for help with my extreme sensitivity to wheat and various foods. Communication was somewhat limited, but after taking my pulses I was told my spleen is weak. I was given 7 bags of herbs for 7 days. Is it possible for someone here to identify the herbs and deduce any other information about what they found problematic? And would any of them be contraindicated while nursing a toddler? The pictures are in the album section of the site: http://health.ph.Chinese Traditional Medicine/photos/browse/81e7 Thank you!
Guest guest
I'm just learning about TCM & I recognise a couple of them - one being dried mandarin or tangerine peel, another being a type of fungi (mushroom), & a few others look familiar but that hardly helps you. The best thing is to contact the harbalist again (get a friend or someone who's Chinese as a translator) & ask him specifically if these herbs can be used while nursing a child. Also ask if he can write down the names of the herbs in Roman letters (the familiar western alphabet) also called pinyin, not Chinese characters. (e.g Gingko biloba is called bai guo) If you can get the pinyin names, here's a site that explains what they are. You can even check it out with the Chinese characters but it's not as easy: http://alternativehealing.org/chinese_herbs_dictionary.htm Judy On Tuesday 27 June 2006 12:53 pm, ricenoodley wrote: > Hello, > > I went to a popular Chinese herbalist for help with my extreme > sensitivity to wheat and various foods.
