Hello everybody. I have a question for anyone that might be so kind to answer

it....

Is peripheral neuropathy after oxaliplatin and 5-FU, 12 rounds permanent? If it

does go away, then when? I hope that someone out there can answer this question.

Thanks in advance. Heal well.

Hi Richard,Let me give you the following link that explains oxaliplatin induced peripheral neuropathy. I do want to highlight one sentence in this site:Importantly, these symptoms are consistently reversible with the

majority of patients recovering from grade 3 neurotoxicity to grade 1

or less within 6–12 months of therapy discontinuationhttp://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=1661634 oleander soup , Richard Pikman <asfc07078 wrote:>> > Hello everybody. Hi Richard,

My guess is it's permanent. I had CHOP with peripheral neuropathy. The

hands recovered most of their feeling but the feet never did..... Price we

pay for letting the croaker poison us. Sorry, if this isn't the answer you

wanted to hear.
