There is this warning about the SAMe on the Utopia Silver website: WARNING: Individuals using prescribed medications such as antidepressants, including Serotonin Re-Uptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) and MAO Inhibitors should consult a physician before using. Individuals with Parkinson's disease, bi-polar disorder or manic depression should not use SAM-e I do not, as far as I know, fall into any of these categories, but why does the SAMe have a negative impact on these categories? It is used both for depression and for maintaining a healthy liver.If one is taking any of the medications listed below, they also need to be careful and consult their physicians when taking herbs that also combat depression.
