Guest guest
, Good to have you back! I bought an Oleander Bush at Walmart the other day! It was reduced to half price of $6.00. All stores with garden centers, have reduced racks, all the plants need, is water and a little TLC! My question is, this plant has probably been fertilized and sprayed with bug spray, will the contamination go away with time? I live in Kentucky, the tag said bring indoors before frost, but no nursery name of origin. Thank You Elizabeth
Guest guest
Hi Elizabeth! It is so good to be back. Thank you. But right now I find myself having to share a computer so not much time online. Mine is at the shop and hope it isn't too "sick" Oh my. Chances are that the oleander plant that you have has been sprayed with pesticides. In that case, it will not be beneficial in making Oleander Soup. The contamination won't go away in the foreseeable future. Can you bring it back? The best place to get a plant for such a purpose is from an organic nursery. And even then, one must make sure and ask to make sure that it has not been sprayed with pesticides. This is most important. Sorry to say, I would not use that plant to make the soup Elizabeth. Hugs,
