Guest guest
Al, you wrote this in reply to Bill: " As is often the case in TCM, new problems are due to excess and old problems are due to deficiency. " I understand the concept (from what I've learned from reading) but I thought it was acute vs chronic. Are you saying a problem doesn't have to be acute (as in recent AND moderate to severe) to be due to excess as long as it's a new problem (as any acute disorder generally is) that started recently? Late stage diabetes will likely present as a deficiency pattern. Early stage means a shorter time period. Later stage means a longer time period. I didn't really suggest anything about intensity. -al. -- , DAOM Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.
